The present invention relates to an aqueous formulation comprising an agrochemical at a concentration of up to 45% w/w; a non-ionic surfactant with a cloud point of from 35° C. to 55° C. at a concentration of up to 60% w/w; an ethoxylated or propoxylated sorbitan ester at a concentration from 1% to 40% w/w; an alkyl polyglucoside, propylene glycol, glycerol or a glycol ether or two or more of these compounds, at a concentration from 1% to 40% w/w; and water at a concentration of at least 1% w/w. The formulation provides low and high temperature stability.

Adjuvants for agrochemical formulations

This invention relates to a mixture of an alkyl polyglucoside with a (biological performance improving) adjuvant which is a non-ionic surfactant, the mixture improving the biological performance of an agrochemical. The biological performance effect of the alkyl polyglucoside is poorer than the partner adjuvant but the biological performance effect of the mixture is as good as that delivered by a much larger amount of that better, partner adjuvant alone.

Agrochemical concentrates containing alkyl polyglucoside and non-ionic surfactant

This invention relates to pyrimidine derivatives, to compositions comprising the pyrimidine derivatives, to methods of making and using these compositions, and to the use of the pyrimidine derivatives as adjuvants, particularly for agrochemical use. In particular, the present invention relates to compositions comprising the pyrimidine derivatives selected from emulsifiable concentrates (EC), emulsions in water (EW), suspensions of particles in water (SC), soluble liquids (SL), capsule suspensions (CS), suspensions of particles with an emulsion (SE), dispersion concentrates (DC), suspensions of particles in oil (OD), water dispersible granules (WG), soluble granules (SG) and wettable powders (WP).

Pyrimidine derivatives

This invention relates to the use of aromatic esters as adjuvants in compositions, particularly for agrochemical use, as well to compositions comprising such an aromatic ester, in combination with at least one agrochemical and at least one surfactant. The invention further extends to methods of making and using such compositions. In particular the present invention relates to such compositions when formulated as, or comprised by, an emulsion concentrate (EC), an emulsion in water (EW), a suspension of particles in water (SC), a microcapsule formulation (CS), a suspension of particles with an emulsion (SE), a dispersion concentrate (DC) or an oil suspension (OD).

Formulation component

The present invention relates to agrochemical compositions comprising certain benzamide compounds and to the use of those benzamide compounds as adjuvants, especially in formulations, in particular in agrochemical formulations and in environmentally friendly formulations. The invention further extends to certain novel benzamide compounds and a process to prepare such novel compounds.

This invention relates to a formulation comprising a compound of formula (I) where R1 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl; R2 is methyl or ethyl; R3 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; and n is 1, 2 or 3; to the use of a compound of formula (I) as a solvent; and to certain novel compounds of formula (I). 

Formulations

This invention relates to a composition comprising an agrochemical and a compound of formula (I) wherein each A is independently selected from Calkanediyl; n is an integer selected from 0 to 45 inclusive; and m is an integer selected from 1, 2, 3 and 4; R is a branched or linear C-Chydrocarbon either fully saturated or comprising up to three double bonds or is phenyl or is benzyl or is a C-Cfully saturated cyclic group; and R is substituted 1, 2, 3 or 4 times as defined by the value of m; and when m is 1 and n is not zero, R may also be hydrogen; and Q is a branched or linear C-Chydrocarbon either fully saturated or comprising up to three double bonds or is phenyl or is benzyl or is a C-Cfully saturated cyclic group; provided that when m is 1 and n is zero, Q and R are not both selected from a branched or linear C-Chydrocarbon either fully saturated or comprising up to three double bonds to methods of making and using the compositions; and to the use of the compounds as adjuvants for agrochemical use. In particular the present invention relates to compositions selected from an emulsion concentrate (EC), an emulsion in water (EW), a suspension of particles in water (SC), a soluble liquid (SL), a microcapsule formulation (CS), a suspension of particles with an emulsion (SE), a dispersion concentrate (DC), an oil suspension (OD), a water dispersible granule (WG), a soluble granule (SG) and a wettable powder (WP). 

Adjuvants

This invention relates to a formulation comprising a compound of formula (I) where R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-18 alkyl, optionally substituted C1-18 alkenyl, optionally substituted C3-8 cycloalkyl, optionally substituted C3-8 cycloalkenyl or optionally substituted aryl; provided that the total number of carbon atoms in R1 and R2 is an integer from 5 to 40 inclusive; the use of a compound of formula (I) (i) as an adjuvant provided that the total number of carbon atoms in R1 and R2 is an integer from 5 to 40 inclusive; and (ii) as a solvent provided that the total number of carbon atoms in R1 and R2 is an integer from 5 to 20 inclusive; to certain novel compounds of formula (I) and to a process for preparing those novel compounds.

Agrochemical concentrates having a continuous water-containing single phase, where said continuous phase also comprises an oil-based adjuvant and a hydrotrope capable of solubilizing said adjuvant in said continuous phase, a process for making these concentrates and a method of using these concentrates.

Formulation

This invention relates to the use of lactamide compounds of formula (I): CHCH(OH)C(&#x2550;O)NRR, where Rand Rare each independently hydrogen; or Calkyl, Calkenyl or Ccycloalkyl, each of which is optionally substituted by up to three substituents independently selected from phenyl, hydroxy, Calkoxy, morpholinyl and NRRwhere Rand Rare each independently Calkyl; or phenyl optionally substituted by up to three substituents independently selected from Calkyl; or Rand Rtogether with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a morpholinyl, pyrrolidinyl, piperidinyl or azepanyl ring, each of which is optionally substituted by up to three substituents independently selected from Calkyl, in formulations to reduce the toxicity associated with other formulation components; to the use of certain lactamide compounds as solvents, especially in formulations, particularly in agrochemical formulations and in environmentally friendly formulations; to novel lactamide compounds; and to processes for preparing lactamide compounds.

Agrochemical concentrate comprising an adjuvant and a hydrotrope

An aqueous agrochemical composition and in particular an agrochemical concentrate comprises (a) a non-encapsulated aqueous solution or dispersion of an agrochemical and (b) a suspension in said aqueous solution or dispersion of a microencapsulated liquid, water-insoluble, bioperformance-enhancing adjuvant for said agrochemical. The adjuvant suitably has little or no surfactant properties. The invention permits oil adjuvants such as 'Turbocharge' and 'Brij 92' to be built into agrochemical compositions with which they would normally be incompatible. With certain adjuvants reduced phytotoxicity may be observed.

Aqueous agrochemical concentrate composition

An adjuvant suitable for use with a lipophilic agrochemical has the formula (I), R&#x2014;(CO)&#x2014;O&#x2014;[&#x2014;RO&#x2014;]&#x2014;R, wherein Ris a Cto Cstraight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl group, Ris ethyl or isopropyl, n is from 8 to 30 and m is 0 or 1 and when Ris ethyl, Ris a Cto Calkyl group and when Ris isopropyl, Ris hydrogen or a Cto Calkyl group, provided that when Ris oleyl, Ris isopropyl and Ris hydrogen, n is not 10. An adjuvant composition comprising an agrochemical and an adjuvant of formula (I) is also claimed. Adjuvants of the invention show effective bioperformance enhancement despite having little or no surfactant properties.
