A pole piece structure is provided to be used as part of an active rotor structure for an electrical rotary machine, wherein the active rotor structure is circular comprising pole pieces and permanent magnets magnetized in the circumferential direction of the rotor structure, wherein the rotor pole piece structure is a single structure with at least two individually spaced pole pieces connected by an integration bridge. Further provided is a method of manufacturing a rotor pole piece structure and a rotor for an electrical machine with a rotor pole piece structure. The assembly of magnets to the pole pieces is significantly enhanced using these rotor pole piece structures as described.

Integrated rotor pole pieces

A hub electric motor unit for a motor-driven or motor-assisted vehicle, the vehicle comprising a frame, a wheel having a hub and a wheel rim connected to the hub by a plurality of spokes; the hub electric motor unit comprising a shaft connectable to the frame of the vehicle, a stator unit mounted on the hub shaft, a rotor disposed around and coaxially with the hub shaft; a hub shell rotatably mounted on the hub shaft, wherein the hub shell comprises two cap members axially disposed on respective sides of the rotor; wherein each cap member comprises a connecting part for connecting a respective subset of the spokes.

Bicycle motor hub

A compaction tool is provided for compacting an element from metal powder where the element has uniform axially displaced protrusions, and the tool comprises a die and a top and a bottom punch with punch surfaces. The top and bottom punch comprises displaceable opposing punch surfaces for displacing the metal powder there between before compacting the element. Additionally provided are a method for compacting an element from metal powder and an element made from such a method.

Stator compacted in one piece

An electrical, rotary machine may include a first stator core section being substantially circular and including a plurality of teeth, a second stator core section being substantially circular and including a plurality of teeth, a coil arranged between the first and second circular stator core sections, and a rotor including a plurality of permanent magnets. The first stator core section, the second stator core section, the coil and the rotor are encircling a common geometric axis, and the plurality of teeth of the first stator core section and the second stator core section are arranged to protrude towards the rotor. Additionally the teeth of the second stator core section are circumferentially displaced in relation to the teeth of the first stator core section, and the permanent magnets in the rotor are separated in the circumferential direction from each other by axially extending pole sections made from soft magnetic material.

Electrical rotary machine assembly with stator core sections

An electrical rotary machine is provided comprising a first stator core section being substantially circular and including a plurality of teeth, a second stator core section being substantially circular and including a plurality of teeth, a coil arranged between the first and second circular stator core sections, and a rotor including a plurality of permanent magnets. The first stator core section, the second stator core section, the coil and the rotor are encircling a common geometric axis, and the plurality of teeth of the first stator core section and the second stator core section are arranged to protrude towards the rotor. Additionally, the teeth of the second stator core section are circumferentially displaced in relation to the teeth of the first stator core section, and the permanent magnets in the rotor are separated in the circumferential direction from each other by axially extending pole sections made from soft magnetic material.

A method for producing a core and a method for producing an electrical machine. Said core has a body of soft magnetic material having a plurality of teeth and at least one magnetic flux cross section area enlarging element being made from a composite of a soft magnetic powder and a binder, said magnetic flux area enlarging element being arranged onto a tooth of said body.
