A method of manufacturing a flexible grinding product comprises the steps: a) preparing an open cloth of knitted or woven fabric; b) applying a coating to one surface of the cloth, wherein the coated surface of the cloth has one or more flat portions; c) applying a grinding agent to the coated surface of the cloth. Further, a flexible grinding product has an open cloth, wherein a surface of the cloth is provided with a coating such that the coated surface has one or more flat areas which are at least partially provided with a grinding agent.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a flexible abrasive disc, and to such an abrasive disc. The abrasive disc comprises a backing with an upper side and a lower side. The upper side has an abrasive agent coating for forming a surface layer. In order to form a surface layer as specifically patterned as possible, the backing of each abrasive disc is coated separately. In this manufacturing method, the abrasive agent coating on the upper side of the backing is embossed with an embossing mold specially structured and to be pressed against the backing.

The present invention relates to a flexible grinding product and a method of producing the same. Such a grinding product comprises a flexible underlay () which consists of two layers laminated to each other. These comprise a lower base layer () and an upper layer (), a cavity layer. The underlay includes a top surface () having at least one adhesive layer () arranged thereto after lamination and a layer of grinding agent () applied by means of the adhesive layer. The grinding product is characterized in that the layer that is coated with grinding agent includes holes which form cavities (), whereby the cavities provide space for grinding dust and grinding residues and facilitate their removal from the surface being ground.

Flexible grinding product and method of producing the same

The present invention relates particularly to an oscillating grinding machine. The grinding machine comprises a driving motor () surrounded by a body (), and a drive shaft () cooperating with the driving motor. The drive shaft comprises a grinding head () that constitutes a support for a grinding product (). The drive shaft () is arranged in two pieces and comprises a main shaft () and an eccentric shaft () arranged rigidly thereto. The eccentric shaft comprises a center line () that assumes an angle (&#x3b1;) against a corresponding center line () of the main shaft, and thus the grinding head () will assume an eccentric placement in relation to the main shaft (). Thus, the grinding head is arranged to oscillate in a substantially spherical plane provided by the rotation of the main shaft and the eccentricity and inclination of the eccentric shaft in relation to the main shaft.

The present invention relates particularly to an oscillating grinding machine. A grinding product and a method of making same. The grinding product comprises a woven or knitted cloth of multifilament threads (1) whose fibers (2) form projecting loops (3), and separate agglomerates (4) of grinding material applied to the loops. During the grinding, different sides of the agglomerates (4) come into contact with the surface to be ground, which prolongs the service life of the grinding product. The agglomerates also form a gap between the cloth and the surface to be ground, through which gap the grinding dust can be removed.
