A bushing for a power system, comprising: a conductor, and a condenser core, wherein the condenser core comprises a dielectric sheet and a plurality of disjoint regions of electrically conducting material provided on the dielectric sheet, wherein the dielectric sheet and the electrically conducting material form a wound structure around the conductor, wherein in at least one region the electrically conducting material is a semiconducting material, wherein the semiconducting material extends more than one turn around the conductor, whereby the at least one region has overlapping edges in the radial direction, and wherein the dielectric sheet extends between the overlapping edges whereby a capacitance is formed between the overlapping edges, which capacitance is partly defined by an overlap length of the overlapping edges and which capacitance forms part of a resonance circuit of the at least one region, wherein the overlap length is such that the resonance circuit has a resonance frequency contained in a very fast transient, VFT, spectrum.

Bushing for a power system

A transformer comprising a core and winding wound around a winding axis extending along a limb of the core, said winding terminating in an axial end surface extending in a direction perpendicular to said winding axis, said transformer comprising a ring comprising magnetic material, said ring being located outside said winding and adjacent to said axial end surface. The ring comprises a set of magnetic metal components, such as magnetic metal sheets, said magnetic metal components being distributed about the winding axis and electrically insulated from each other. The core comprises a yoke, said yoke extending radially across the ring, at one or more crossing locations, from a radial inside of the ring to a radial outside of the ring. The cross-sectional height of the ring varies about the winding axis such that magnetic metal components at the crossing locations have lower height along the winding axis than magnetic metal components further away from the crossing locations.

Electrical contact system with a first and a second contact (), each having a contact surface (). The first electric contact () has a mesostructured electric contact portion () with a plurality of slots () and ridges () formed between neighboring slots () of the plurality of slots (). These slots () and ridges () extend in a direction running transversely to said switching plane (X-Z) form a plurality of current paths (). The current paths () are inclined to the first contact surface () at a first angle () measuring less than 60 degrees such that an interruption current () flowing through the mesostructured electric contact portion () and through an electric arc () extending in between the first contact surface () after lifting the first contact surface () off the second contact surface () pushes said electric arc () in the direction of the apex of said first angle () from a first position () to a second position ().

Low voltage electrical contact system with enhanced arc blow effect

A voltage sensor includes an insulator with mutually insulated electrodes embedded therein. The electrodes are coaxial and cylindrical and overlap axially along part of their lengths. They are mutually staggered and control the surfaces of electric equipotential such that there is a substantially homogeneous electric field outside the insulator and a substantially homogeneous but higher field within a sensing cavity within the insulator. A field sensor is arranged within the sensing cavity to locally measure the field. This design allows for the production of compact voltage sensors for high voltage applications.

A converter building including at least one room having a solid room wall enclosing an interior space and an electrical active part contained in the interior space, the room wall having at least one opening, which is designed such that it allows a human to enter the interior space. The opening is sealable, the room wall encloses the interior space in a gas-tight manner when the opening is sealed, and the interior space contains a dielectric insulation medium including a dielectric insulation component other than air.

Cable and electromagnetic device comprising the same

An electrical bushing for providing electrical insulation of a conductor extending through the bushing is disclosed. The bushing includes: one conductive foil concentrically arranged around the conductor location; and one FGM part, made from a field grading material and partly arranged in the extension of part of a foil edge of a conductive foil. The FGM part and the conductive foil, in the extension of which the FGM part is arranged, are in electrical contact.
