A seal for use between a first duct and a second duct and, the ducts having relative motion therebetween, includes a first plurality of fingers for attachment to the first duct to be disposed about one of the first duct and the second duct, a seal land attaching to about an other of the first duct and the second duct, and a seal attaching to the seal land and in contact with the plurality of fingers wherein one of the plurality of fingers and the seal is metallic and an other of the seal land or the plurality of fingers is non-metallic.

An example gas turbine engine includes an engine casing and an engine liner within the engine casing. One of the engine casing or the engine liner includes a first attachment structure. The other of the engine casing or the engine liner defines a track guide. A slideable member is moveable within the track guide between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The slideable member includes a second attachment structure engageable with the first attachment structure to secure the engine liner relative the engine casing when the slideable member is in the engaged position.

Slideable liner anchoring assembly

An example engine assembly includes a first attachment structure secured to an engine casing or an engine liner, and a second attachment structure secured to the other of the engine casing or the engine liner. A sliding member is held by the first attachment structure and is slideable relative to the first attachment structure between a first position and a second position. A pin structure moves with the sliding member between the first position and the second position. A link is pivotally connected to the second attachment structure and the pin structure.

Slideable liner link assembly

An exemplary turbine engine link assembly includes a link extending longitudinally from a rod end and terminating at a hemispherical end. The rod end is secured to an engine liner or an engine casing. The hemispherical end is biased toward a corresponding hemispherical recess in the engine liner or in the other of the engine liner or the engine casing.

Pivoting liner hanger

The external flaps of a variable exhaust nozzle for a gas turbine engine are attached to the nozzle by a pair of pivotal rods attached to the nozzle's internal support structure and slidably fits into elongated spaced bushings extending along the longitudinal axis of the flaps formed in bosses extending orthogonally from the inner surface of the flaps. The attachment to the support structure includes a unison ball made from composite material that fits into a spherical track formed in a recess in the end of the rods. The method of installation is to insert one of the post into the first bushing that is offset from the second bushing. After the slight engagement of the first post, the second post is pivoted to align with its complementary bushing and the flap is positioned forward to fully engage the rods into the bushings. The aft end hinge of the flap is then attached, A limit pin that is attached to the post travels in a slot designed to limit the travel of the post. Another embodiment includes a damping function in the attachment.
