An information handling system may determine a pre-boot security posture, and update an advanced configuration and power interface mitigation table with the pre-boot security posture. The system may also update a security mitigation table based on a security mitigation policy, and determine a security mitigation based on a protection flag in the advanced configuration and power interface mitigation table and the security mitigation table.

Quality of service for secure workspaces having copy-on-write layers is provided. A priority filter can be loaded above an isolation filter and can be configured to evaluate I/O requests targeting copy-on-write layers to determine a priority of each I/O request. The priority filter can allow a high priority I/O request to be serviced immediately. In contrast, the priority filter can store a lower priority I/O request in a queue until high priority I/O requests have been serviced. In this way, an application in a secure workspace assigned a high priority will retain the ability to write data to its copy-on-write layer even when the copy-on-write layer is limited by a quota and other applications in the same or different secure workspace are consuming the quota.

Providing quality of service for secure workspaces having copy-on-write layers

Systems and methods for providing intelligent workspace connection assistance are described. In an embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: enumerate a plurality of peripheral devices coupled to a plurality of ports of the IHS; identify a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for each of the plurality of peripheral devices; weigh each of the KPIs by a corresponding value scaler; and calculate a connection recommendation for the plurality of peripheral devices based, at least in part, upon the weighed KPIs.

Intelligent workspace connection assistance

When a containerized application for which experience management services are being performed is to be migrated to a new secure workspace on a user computing device, a workspace orchestrator can interface with a migration agent on the user computing device to cause the migration agent to perform the migration. The workspace agent can also interface with a host agent on the user computing device to provide information about the new secure workspace to which the containerized application is being migrated. When the migration is performed, the host agent can notify an experience management agent on the user computing device and provide the information about the new workspace. The experience management agent can then use the information about the new secure workspace to apply policies or configurations to the new secure workspace to thereby cause the same experience management services to be provided to the containerized application in the new secure workspace.

Providing experience management for containerized applications across migrations

A system and method for a peripheral device workspace cloud orchestrator server to receive environmental telemetry data associated with a plurality of device nodes within a peripheral device workspace at a location that includes an anchor information handling system node with a hardware processor to execute computer-readable program code of a telemetry ownership orchestrator module to determine to offload a portion of environmental telemetry data collection and aggregation functions to be transitioned to a smart device node within the peripheral device workspace from the anchor information handling system node when a resource utilization level at the anchor information handling system node is determined to reach a utilization threshold, and transmitting instructions to the anchor information handling system node to offload the portion of environmental telemetry data collection and aggregation functions for a subset of the plurality of peripheral device nodes in the peripheral device workspace to the smart device node.

System and method for using intelligent staggered telemetry for node capabilities management across nodes in a peripheral device workspace

Various embodiments provide systems and methods for authentication and feature enablement for bring your own device (BYOD) users of a shared conference room. For instance, when a BYOD device connects with a conference room host device, the BYOD device may communicate with a cloud-based management service to get authenticated, and the cloud-based management service may communicate and allowed or disallowed status to the conference room host device. Assuming that the BYOD device receives an allowed status, the conference room host device may then enable data communication, peripheral access, and a set of entitlements for the BYOD device.

Systems and methods for managing BYOD devices in a video conference

Shared hoteling workspaces and computer equipment are preconfigured based on location. A location associated with a mobile device is monitored. As the mobile device moves toward a workspace, computer equipment associated with the workspace are automatically preconfigured for use. Different configuration events and operational states may be implemented, based on a locational proximity of the mobile device to the workspace. When the mobile device arrives at the workspace, the mobile device has been automatically paired/registered with the computer equipment at the workspace. Moreover, when the location of the mobile device no longer matches the workspace, the network pairings/registrations may be automatically torn down and deleted, thus making the workspace available for a next occupant.

Proximity-based network registration

An information handling system node includes a hardware processor, a memory device, a power management unit with a peripheral device node operatively coupled to the information handling system node. The hardware processor may execute computer-readable program code of a custom event and device manageability service sub-agent to discover the peripheral device node operatively coupled to the information handling system node including a unique peripheral device identification (ID), request and receive, via a unified device application programming interface module, peripheral device capabilities and event IDs, where the event IDs describe custom events that are transmittable via any bus protocol from the peripheral device node, and register for custom event notifications with the peripheral device node by sending callback messages to the peripheral device node describing which custom events to receive custom event notifications about and setting custom event triggers that trigger the custom event notifications.

Best known configurations for workspaces can be managed. Device groups can be defined based on functional roles or organizational departments. Each device group can be associated with a workspace along with a best known configuration for the workspace that is based on the device group. Workspaces can then be deployed to the end-user computing devices based on the device group to which each end-user computing device belongs and in accordance with the associated best known configuration.

A peripheral device workspace cloud orchestrator server includes a hardware processor, a memory device, and a network interface device to receive operational capabilities and settings associated with a peripheral device node operatively coupled to an anchor information handling system node, the anchor information handling system node and peripheral device forming part of a collaborative peripheral device workspace to be registered with the peripheral device workspace cloud orchestrator server. The hardware processor executes a collaborative workspace orchestrator module to register the peripheral device node within the collaborative peripheral device workspace. The hardware processor executes computer code of mesh manager module to identify and create a mesh within the collaborative peripheral device workspace including the anchor information handling system node and registered peripheral device node in a mesh manifest, the mesh created based on the KPIs of the registered peripheral device and assigned a mesh ID value.

Systems and methods for arbitration among multiple concurrent management agents in a conference room are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, a video bar or host Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the video bar or host IHS to: receive a command targeting a device in a conference room and, determine, based at least in part upon a source of the command, whether to allow the command to reach the device.

Arbitration among multiple concurrent management agents in a conference room

Various implementations include systems and methods to recommend inventory, such as hardware inventory, software inventory, and default configurations, for conference rooms based on telemetry data. Telemetry data may include any data regarding use of hardware and software in the conference room. A cloud-based agent may analyze the telemetry data to make recommendations to add or remove hardware, renew or not renew applications, and to change default settings if appropriate.

Systems and methods to recommend adjustments to inventory for conference rooms

Secure workspaces can be supported in heterogenous environments. Snapshots of secure workspaces can be created when the secure workspaces are deployed on a user's primary user computing device. When a user desires to access secure workspaces on a secondary user computing device, information about and a trust for the secondary user computing device can be determined. Based on the information and the trust, it can then be determined how the snapshots of the secure workspaces will be used to make the secure workspaces available to the secondary user computing device. In some cases, a best-known configuration for a secure workspace can be determined and applied.

Supporting secure workspaces in heterogenous environments

Runtime observability can be enabled for applications hosted in a secure workspace. An observability service can be included in a secure workspace deployed on a user computing device and can be selectively enabled at runtime to observe one or more applications hosted in the secure workspace. The observability service can gather information about any application it observes and provide the information to a workspace agent that is also executed in the secure workspace. The workspace agent can then relay the information to a host agent that runs on the user computing device which in turn can relay the information to a management service hosted on a management server. An administrator can then use an observability solution to analyze the information.

Enabling runtime observability for applications hosted in a secure workspace

End-to-end distributed recovery of a user computing device on which secure workspaces are deployed is provided. An image of a user computing device and images of secure workspaces deployed on the user computing device can be created and stored. In response to a crash of the user computing device, a combined image can be created from the image of the user computing device and the images of the secure workspaces deployed on the user computing device. The combined image can then be deployed on the user computing device to recover the user computing device.
