Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques for waveform indication for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions. A network entity may provide an indication of a waveform type, such as CP-OFDM, DFT-s-OFDM, or other suitable waveform type, for a PUCCH format to a user equipment (UE). The UE may then communicate a PUCCH with the network entity using the waveform type for the PUCCH format.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating a frequency hopping configuration for repetitions of an uplink message that are to be transmitted via a set of resources, including one or more resources that support full-duplex communications. The UE may determine that some resources of the set of resources are available for transmitting the repetitions in a time domain. The UE may use a frequency hopping pattern to transmit the uplink message and the repetitions of the uplink message, where the frequency hopping pattern may include two or more frequency hops and based on the available resources and the frequency hopping configuration. In some cases, the UE may determine that some resources of the set of resources are unavailable in a frequency domain, and as such, the UE may drop respective transmissions of the uplink messages on the unavailable resources.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal configuring a collection of reference signal transmissions. The UE may identify a resource overlap between the collection of reference signal transmissions and another resource that is unavailable for reference signal transmissions. The UE may identify one or more transmission properties for the collection of reference signal transmissions. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the one or more transmission properties and the resource overlap, whether to omit one or more of the reference signal transmissions of the collection of reference signal transmissions in the corresponding resource overlap or to delay transmission of the collection of reference signal transmissions. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication. The apparatus multiplexes uplink control information (UCI) in a segment of a multiple slot physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, the UCI multiplexing being based on at least one of a slot within a multiple slot transmission occasion, a segment of the multiple slot transmission occasion, or the multiple slot transmission occasion. A UE receives, from a base station or a component of the base station, at least one DL grant after a reception of an UL grant, the at least one DL grant being associated with a DL cDAI value and a DL tDAI value, the UL grant being associated with an UL tDAI value and scheduling a plurality of PUSCH repetitions. The UE calculates a total number of DL grants sent to the UE based on the DL cDAI value. The UE adjusts the total number of DL grants if there is a difference between the total number of DL grants and the UL tDAI value. The UE transmits, to the base station, a HARQ codebook in at least one of the plurality of PUSCH repetitions, a size of the HARQ codebook being based on the adjusted total number of DL grants.

In one example, a user equipment (UE) may identify an available energy or available time period for an uplink transmission via uplink carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. The UE may further transmit, to a network entity, a report including the available energy or available time period for uplink transmission. In another example, a network entity may transmit a configuration message to configure the UE with carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. The network entity may further receive a report including the available energy or time for uplink transmission via carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. The network entity may further adjust uplink communication with the UE based on the received report.

Techniques for energy headroom report (EHR) and sustainable duty cycle (SDC) reporting for dynamic power aggregation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may report power headroom for uplink carrier aggregation communications. The UE may receive a first message that indicates multiple component carriers are configured for communications at the UE. The UE may determine a first transmission power available for uplink carrier aggregation transmissions by the UE across the multiple component carriers during a transmission occasion. The UE may transmit one or more uplink messages associated with a second transmission power via one or more of the component carriers. The UE may transmit a power headroom report that includes a carrier aggregation power headroom parameter. A value of the carrier aggregation power headroom parameter may be based on the first transmission power and the second transmission power associated with uplink carrier aggregation transmissions via at least one of the multiple component carriers during the transmission occasion.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect an out-of-coverage scenario based at least in part on determining that a synchronization source associated with a wireless network is unavailable or has a signal strength that fails to satisfy a threshold. The UE may transmit, on a sidelink channel, a sidelink synchronization signal in a transmission period that includes a plurality of synchronization signal occasions based at least in part on the out-of-coverage scenario. In some aspects, the UE may transmit the sidelink synchronization signal according to a reduced duty cycle that causes the sidelink synchronization signal to be transmitted during fewer than all of the plurality of synchronization signal occasions. Generally, the described techniques provide for identifying resources in which to transmit feedback information in a slot in an absence of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) in the slot. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a symbol in which to transmit feedback information in a slot in an absence of DMRSs in the slot based on a reference symbol. The reference symbol may be a symbol in the slot previously configured to include DMRSs, or a symbol in a previous slot configured to include DMRSs, or a first symbol in the slot, or a first symbol of a set of symbols in the slot allocated for an uplink data transmission in the slot. A relation between the symbol in which to transmit the feedback information in the slot and the reference symbol may be defined at the UE.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information indicating that demodulation reference signal (DMRS) time domain bundling is enabled. Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatuses, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for retransmitting a random access channel (RACH) message, for example, based on parameters for initial RACH transmission. For example, a user equipment (UE) transmits an initial transmission of an uplink RACH message with repetition. The UE receives a downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a retransmission of the uplink RACH message with repetition. The UE determines parameters for the retransmission of the uplink RACH message with repetition based, at least in part, on parameters for the initial transmission of the uplink RACH message with repetition.
