The invention offers a steam turbine forced air cooling system, its method, and a steam turbine provided with the system, the system being of an inexpensive and simple device configuration and improving a cooling effect by the use of an easy-to-get device. Suction is applied to the steam introduction side of an HP turbineor an IP turbineby the use of cooling air suction ejectorswhich use a compressed medium other than steam as a drive source. The cooling air is then introduced from the steam exhaust portion of the steam turbine into the inside of the steam turbine and is discharged from the ejectorsto the atmosphere.

An axial flow turbine that can enhance an effect of reducing a mixing loss is disclosed. The axial flow turbine includes a plurality of stator blades provided on the inner circumferential side of a diaphragm outer ring; a plurality of rotor blades provided on the outer circumferential side of a rotor; a shroud provided on the outer circumferential side of the plurality of rotor blades; an annular groove portion formed in the diaphragm outer ring and housing the shroud therein; a clearance passage defined between the groove portion and the shroud, into which a portion of working fluid flows from the downstream side of the stator blades in a main passage; seal fins provided in the clearance passage; a circulation flow generating chamber defined on the downstream side of the clearance passage; and a plurality of shielding plates secured to the diaphragm outer ring.

Axial flow turbine

Suppressing profile loss of a moving blade due to radial flow without an increase in the length of a shaft of a turbine is disclosed. The degree of reaction on an inner circumferential side is set to an appropriate degree, reducing profile loss due to supersonic inflow, and improving turbine efficiency. A steam turbine stator vane has a trailing edge with a curved line when the stator vane is viewed from a downstream side in the axial direction. The curved line has an inflection point located on an outer circumferential side with respect to the center of the stator vane in the height direction of the stator vane. An inner circumferential portion of the curved line is located on the inner circumferential side with respect to the inflection point. An outer circumferential portion of the curved line is located on the outer circumferential side with respect to the inflection point.

In a steam turbine having a cross-over duct for delivering steam discharged from an intermediate pressure turbine to low pressure turbines, the intermediate pressure turbine provides two outlets for discharging exhaust steam, the low pressure turbine provides two inlets, and the outlets and the inlets are arranged on the same straight line as viewed from a planar direction. One of the outlets and one of the inlets which are close to each other are connected through a cross-over duct, the other of the outlets and the other of the inlets which are far from each other are connected through another cross-over duct, and the cross-over ducts are arranged to be at two stages in the up-down direction.
