An electronic component is switched under the control of a pulse-width modulation signal. The electronic component outputs an output signal that is controlled by a control signal. The switching on or off is initiated within a pulse-width modulation cycle period at a level change time by a change of the pulse-width modulation signal. The control signal is set within each PWM cycle period to a first control value between the level change time and a first switching time, to a second control value between the first switching time and a second switching time, and to a third control value from the second switching time until a final gate-voltage value is reached on the gate of the electronic component. Each switching time of a PWM period is determined in dependence on an amplitude value determined during a preceding PWM cycle period, to limit amplitudes of the oscillation of the output signal.

Method and device for switching an electronic component on or off

A method for adapting a dead time between the beginning of ab opening process of a first switching element and the beginning of a closing process of a second, serially connected switching element in a switching regulator of a switching power supply unit. The method includes the following steps: a measurement voltage across the second switching element is measured, and the dead time is varied such that the deviation of the measured measurement voltage from a target value of the measurement voltage is minimized or limited. The first and second switching elements are actuated using the thus ascertained dead time. There is also described a device for carrying out such a method. The device includes a measuring unit, a processing unit, and a control unit.

Method and device for regulating a dead time in switching power supply units

An electrical drive device () includes a control circuit () connectable to a voltage source () on the input side and to an electric drive motor () on the output side. The control circuit () includes two separate return conductors () connected to each other at a single connection point (). One return conductor () is connected to the ground terminal () of the control circuit (). The other return conductor () is connected to a motor converter (), a converter control () and a back-up capacitor (). Due to this arrangement, the currents (i, i) flowing in a back-up circuit loop () and a control circuit loop () are confined to remain within the control circuit () and are separated from a housing (), for example the chassis of a motor vehicle. As a result, the electrical drive device () has low interference emissions.

In a circuit arrangement () it is provided for supplying an integrated circuit () with electrical energy in a reliable and low-emission manner that a first ground connection () of the integrated circuit () is connected to a circuit carrier ground () and that an external buffer capacitor () is connected to a supply connection () and a second ground connection () of the integrated circuit (). The arrangement is further equipped with a supply unit (), which has a current source behavior, at least at a clock frequency of the integrated circuit (). The buffer capacitor () reduces load-related voltage fluctuations, the current source behavior of the supply unit () causing a decoupling of the frequency between the charging and discharging process of the buffer capacitor (). The high-frequency discharging currents are tightly restricted in the circuit arrangement (), thus preventing significant emission.

Circuit arrangement for the power supply of an integrated circuit

In a circuit arrangement () for detuning a resonant circuit formed of an inductively acting electric circuit () and a capacitively acting discharging device (), a detuning device () is arranged at least partially in series to the discharging device (). The resonant circuit can be detuned in wide ranges by means of such a detuning device ().

Electric circuit

In the case of a power supply device () for an electric circuit (), an energy source () and an electric filter () are provided for the reliable and low-emission supply of energy to the electric circuit (), wherein the energy source () and the electric filter () interact in such a way that the power supply device () has, at a filter output (), a voltage source characteristic in a first frequency range and a current source characteristic in a second frequency range, which has a higher frequency than the first frequency range.

Power supply device for an electric circuit

A device () supplies energy to a rapid cycling and/or rapidly cycled integrated circuit () which includes a circuit load () and an internal capacity () connected parallel to the circuit load (). The integrated circuit () has a high cycle frequency (f) especially at least in the MHz range. A supply unit () especially designed as a current source is directly connected to the internal capacity (). The supply unit () has an internal resistance, the impedance level of which is so high at the cycle frequency (f) that a current (I) supplying the circuit load () originates to a greater degree from the internal capacity () than from the supply unit (). At least one auxiliary load, current sink or load controller is provided as an integral component of the integrated circuit and is connected to the circuit load to smooth load fluctuations.

Regulated energy supply for a rapidly cycling integrated circuit with reduced electromagnetic radiation

The device () is used for supplying power to a rapid clocking and/or a rapidly clocked integrated circuit (), which has a circuit load () to be supplied with power and an internal capacity () connected parallel to the circuit load (). The integrated circuit () has a high clocking frequency (f) which is in particular at least in the MHz range. A supply unit () which is in particular designed as a current source is directly connected to the internal capacity (). The supply unit () has an internal resistance, the impedance value of which is so high at the clocking frequency (f) that a current (I) which supplies the circuit load () originates to a greater degree from the internal capacity () than from the supply unit ().

Device for supplying power to an intergrated circuit

The electric multiple conductor system () is used for the transmission of signals in differential mode, and has two signal lines () and a shared reference line (). Each signal line () includes an attenuation or filter element () with a connection branch (), which runs between a branch node () in the respective signal line () and the reference line (). The attenuation or filter elements () of the respective signal lines () are nominally of the same size. Each connection branch () respectively includes a serial connection of a first partial branch () having a first reactive impedance () and a second partial branch () having a second reactive impedance (). The second partial branch () is a shared component of all attenuation or filter elements (). The multiple conductor system () achieves a very high level of common mode suppression.
