A non-rail-bound vehicle, in particular a truck, includes a current collector for supplying electric energy from a two-pole overhead conductor. A rocker can be vertically lifted or lowered by a rocking movement of a support extension arm about horizontal tilting axes of lower hinge assemblies and can be laterally displaced by a tilting movement of a support extension arm about vertical pivot axes of the lower hinge assemblies. The lower hinge assemblies are supported on a lifting device which is connected to a vehicle frame of the vehicle and through which the current collector can be vertically moved between a lower parked position and an upper operating position. In this manner, overhead conductors with an extended height range can be contacted without the current collector influencing the entire length of the vehicle.

Non-rail-bound vehicle

A non-track-bound vehicle operates on a route electrified by an overhead contact system. The vehicle has a current collector for energy transfer between the vehicle and an overhead cable. It has a lowering mechanism for the transfer of the current collector from an upright operational position in which the current collector is in sliding contact with the contact wires into a lowered neutral position in which the current collector is arranged within a vehicle clearance profile. An actuating element is provided for the simultaneous activation of the lowering mechanism and an additional vehicle device. The activation of the actuating element is intended in a driving situation requiring the lowering of the current collector. The operation of non-track-bound vehicles is safer even in critical driving situations, such as for example, maneuvers to avoid or overtake other vehicles at high speed.

Non-track-bound vehicle

A non-rail-bound vehicle, truck or bus, includes a current collector feeding electrical energy from an overhead line installation having a contact wire. The collector has a contact strip with a working region contacting the contact wire. An actuating device coupled to the collector adjusts the contact strip. The contact strip is horizontal and adjustable transversely to a vehicle longitudinal axis. A sensor senses the position of the vehicle relative to the contact wire. A control device connected to the sensor and the actuating device actuates the actuating device based on the sensed vehicle position, so that the contact strip maintains contact with the contact wire within its working range. The vehicle thus reliably maintains contact with the contact wire through the collector during operation on multilane roadways with an at least partially electrified lane, even at relatively high speeds of, for example, 80 to 100 km/h.

A device for reversal of direction of planar letters has two cover band conveyor runs with reversible transport direction, driven by a common drive roller. The letters are distributed alternately on the cover band conveyor runs. The back-transported letters are led into removing cover band transport means. The drive roller is controlled such that on introduction of a following letter into a cover band conveyor run the preceding back-transported letter has already accelerated to the nominal speed, the braking process only being initiated when the rear edge of the relevant letter has left the introducing cover band transport run and the preceding letter is no longer held in one of the controlled and reversible cover band conveyor runs.

Device for reversal of direction of planar letters

A method of applying labels to flat objects transported along a conveying path includes determining the acceleration time from the starting time of a pressure and applicator drum as far as the peripheral speed corresponding to the defined, average transport speed of the objects at a circumferential region accommodating the labels and measuring the times at which the front edge of the respective object passes two sensor devices located one after another in the transport path before the pressure and applicator drum and determining the starting time of the pressure and applicator drum in accordance with a mathematical relationship.
