A mobile device is provided that includes biometric sensor(s), and a processor that causes the biometric sensor(s) to acquire a physiological marker of a user, and identify and authenticate the user. The processor sends a message to an authentication server that indicates the user is authenticated, and receives a response from the authentication server that includes a unique authentication code. The processor receives selection of a thereby selected over-the-counter (OTC) drug, and communicates with a point-of-sale (POS) system with contactless payment capability. The processor sends a purchase message to the POS system that includes the unique authentication code, an identifier of the selected OTC drug, and payment information. And the POS system communicates with the authentication server to validate the unique authentication code, and with an authorization server to authorize payment for the selected OTC drug based on the payment information.

The plunger includes a rod and a piston connected to the rod. The piston is movable with respect to the carafe in an axial direction. The present invention provides a rack including fingers which are pivotally mounted so that when an actuator is moved to an extended condition the fingers will simultaneously move to an extended position approximately perpendicular to the upper surface of the rack so that items may be placed thereon for uses such as drying. The fingers are pivotally attached to the actuator so that, upon movement to a retracted position, the fingers will pivot downward and to a retracted position below the upper surface providing a flat rack that is easily stored. The rack also includes a liquid indicator for identifying whether liquid is present within a base of the rack.

A utility knife which includes a feature for presenting a user with a replacement blade holder containing replacement blades when the separate halves of the knife body, referred to as handle portions, are opened to expose an interior cavity is disc losed. A pivotable latching lever selectively movable between a latched position and an unlatched position permits the two handle portions to pivot relative to one another about a pivot axis when the lever is in the unlatched position so that the replacement blade holder may be presented to the user. The disclosed utility knife having a replacement blade holder and a latching lever is capable of very economic manufacture, yet is dependable in operation.

A rotating article dispenser is provided for receiving and dispensing articles, such as a paper towel roll. The dispenser includes a handle which may be easily attached and removed by use of a clamping head provided in the handle which clamps around a bulb protruding from a first end of a tube. Upon depression of a button attached to the clamping head, the head may be released from the bulb so that the handle may be removed from the first end of the dispenser tube.

A fluid-dispensing kitchen apparatus has a body including a fluid reservoir and a handle, the reservoir being closed by an end plate which is welded to the body and is, in turn, latched to a cleaning medium block. An embodiment has a resilient tab on the block engaging an edge of the housing plate. Aligned holes through the plate and the block which provide communication between the reservoir and the plate is openable and closeable by a valve actuated by an increase in pressure provided by depressing a resilient button. In an embodiment, the resilient button includes a bias member to return the button to its rest position.

A dustpan includes an open-front receptacle, at least one elongated rail on the receptacle, an elongated handle having a coupling portion, and a coupling mechanism slidably coupled to the at least one rail and pivotally coupled to the coupling portion of the handle so that the handle is both slidably and pivotally moveable relative to the receptacle between use and storage positions. A broom includes an elongated second handle and a head carrying set of bristles, the head having a housing with curved side portions shaped and dimensioned to respectively nest in recesses in the dustpan handle in a stowed condition clipped to the dustpan handle in such a way that it does not interfere with the pivoting and sliding movement of the dustpan handle. The dustpan receptacle can be stood on its flat rear end wall with the stowed broom received therein.
