A vehicle display device includes a projection device including a light-transmitting image display unit displaying an image, a light source emitting light to the image display unit from a back surface side or a front surface side, and a light-shielding cover disposed on a front surface of the image display unit and including an opening. The projection device projects an image onto a reflection unit disposed in front of an occupant in a vehicle. When the projection device is viewed from the front surface side, a shape of the opening is a shape similar to a shape of an image display region in the image display unit, and the opening is separated from an outer edge of the image display region and surrounds the image display region.

Vehicle display device

Provided is a scanning projector screen which can suppress inhomogeneity of a beam diameter. The scanning projector screen has a screen surface that is curved in at least one direction.

Provided are a bezel body and a vehicular display device that effectively reduces a sense of discomfort provided to a passenger by making reflection on a windshield less visible. Since a reflection portion is formed in a predetermined area on a lower surface of a light guide member at the rear side, the guided external light is easy to reflect upward, whereby light can efficiently be emitted from the light guide member toward a descending wall. Therefore, this configuration can prevent the descending wall from being darkly reflected on a windshield, thereby making the reflection less visible and effectively reducing a sense of discomfort provided to the passenger.

A head-up display device which makes a virtual image to be formed by projecting display light on a windshield of a vehicle includes a housing, an indicator which is provided in the housing, and a reflector which is provided in the housing, and includes a plurality of reflecting surfaces which are arranged in parallel with each other and inclined at the same angle so that the display light which is irradiated from the indicator is reflected by the reflecting surfaces.

Head-up display device

A head-up display includes a first display device, and a second display device which is provided at a position which is different from a position of the first display device. An optical axis identifying device outputs light beams, which are respectively input from the first display device and second display device, in the identical direction. An enlarged-image forming device enlarges respective images which are formed by the light beams which are output from the first display device and the second display device, based on the light beams which are input from the optical axis identifying device, and forms an image by overlapping the images which are enlarged. A moving device moves at least one of the first display device and the second display device along respective optical axis directions thereof.

Head-up display

An object of the present invention is to provide a head-up display apparatus and a cover-mirror unit used for the same. A movable member' of the cover-mirror unit stands up along a flat inner wallof a housingwhen the head-up display apparatus is in use, and lie down to cover an opening of the housingwhen the head-up display apparatus is not in use for carrying out an up/down operation. In particular, through the down operation, by a link mechanism, a bottom end of the movable member is gradually moved upward by following the inner wallof the housing. Therefore, though the movable member&#x2032; stands up along the inner wallof the housingwhen the head-up display apparatus is in use, the movable member&#x2032; never interferes with the inner wallthrough the up/down operation.

Head-up display apparatus and cover-mirror unit used for the same

A display includes a case and a display source received in the case, and allows a virtual image of an image displayed on the display source projected on a windshield of a vehicle through an opening of the case to be superimposed on a foreground image through the windshield which is visually recognized at an eye point of the vehicle. A cover for the display is configured to prevent foreign particles from entering an inside of the case through the opening, and allows the image projected from the display source to pass therethrough. The cover has substantially a wedge cross section so as to align a substantially straight light path of direct light from an arbitrary point on the display source through the cover without reflection with a reflected light path of reflected light from the arbitrary point and reflected twice on inner surfaces of the cover.

Cover for head-up display

A display device for a vehicle is provided, by which an attaching position thereof can be altered depending upon an attachment limiting condition of the vehicle. The display device includes: a display source provided in an instrument panel of the vehicle; and a prism provided on a light path between the display source and an aperture of the instrument panel and refracting display light of an image displayed on the display source backward in the vehicle, wherein the prism is formed in a shape inclined upward in a backward direction of the vehicle, wherein (a) a virtual image of the image projected on a projection area of a windshield of the vehicle, onto which area the display image from the prism is projected and (b) a front view of the vehicle to be seen from an eye point of the vehicle through the windshield are seen in a superimposed manner.

Display device for vehicle

The present invention is to provide a vehicle display apparatus having a clear view. When a vehicle runs on a flat road, a standard FOE (focus of expansion) is set so as that a horizon line is positioned at a central portion of a display area. When the vehicle approaches to an uphill road, the display area is moved to match ordinates of between a current FOE and the standard FOE. When the vehicle approaches to a downhill road, the display area is moved to match the ordinates of between the current FOE and standard FOE.

Vehicle display apparatus for displaying information of a forward view of the vehicle

A windshield having a windshield body and a specific area, which is arranged at a part in a longitudinal direction of the windshield body and is formed into a curved surface having a curvature different from the curvature of the windshield body, is provided. The specific area is formed into a round shape in a plan view. The specific area has a projection area, on which a display light of an image displayed on a display device mounted in a vehicle is projected and the projection area is formed into a curved surface for displaying the projected image in a desired shape and is arranged outside of a surface of the windshield body, and a connection area, which is arranged around the projection area and is formed into a curved surface for continuing to the projection area and the windshield body. By using the windshield, the projection area can be formed into the windshield without an extra deformation.

Windshield and head-up display system

In the rear of a liquid crystal display arranged with an inclination to a line of sight reflected by a concave mirror, a backlight and a focusing lens member are arranged in such a manner that the backlight and the focusing lens member are positioned on a plane perpendicular to the line of sight reflected by the concave mirror, and the focusing lens member focuses beams of illumination light from the backlight in such a manner that the beams of illumination light stays within a range of the liquid crystal display.

Luminous display device

A head-up display device includes a display unit for displaying information, a reflector rotatably supported by frame members fixed to a vehicle, and an adjuster for adjusting a rotational position of the reflector by a gearing system. The information displayed on the display unit is reflected by the reflector to a projection area on a vehicle windshield. The adjuster so adjusts the rotational position to allow a vehicle driver to see both a front view through the windshield and a superimposed reflected image of the information. The head-up display device further includes a regulator to allow the reflector to rotate in a rotational direction within a range where the reflector is adjustable by the adjuster, and to prevent the reflector from shifting in a direction other than the rotational direction.

A plate-shaped display device is partitioned into a meter display area and a HUD display area. Images displayed on the display device are visible on both front and rear surfaces of the display device. A direct image displayed on the meter display area is projected toward an eye range of a vehicle driver. A reflected image displayed on the HUD display area is firstly projected in a direction opposite to the eye range. Then, the reflected image is reflected at a magnifying mirror and a windshield, then finally projected toward the eye range.
