A longitudinal translatable seal includes a first compartment extending in a longitudinal direction; a second compartment extending in the longitudinal direction forming a sealing surface with the first compartment; and a carriage translatable longitudinally with respect to the sealing surface, and a port in the carriage to fluidly connect a first side of the seal with a second side of the seal.

Seal

In an embodiment, an apparatus includes one or more probes, a tip, a pin, and a measurement device. The one or more probes may be configured for insertion through an aperture in a component. The tip may be slidably engaged with the one or more probes and include a first end configured to contact a first surface of the component. The first end of the tip may be conically shaped. The pin may be slidably engaged with the one or more probes and include a first end configured for insertion into the aperture in the component such that the one or more probes are configured to contact a second surface of the component. The pin may be configured to move between a first position and a second position. An axis of the pin may be substantially aligned with an axis of the tip. The measurement device may be coupled to the tip and configured to measure a value indicating a grip length.

A method of determining the position and orientation of a moveable object includes a) connecting a plurality of targets to the object at known points on the object such that the targets will move with the object; b) scanning the surface of the object and at least some of the plurality of targets to obtain target data; c) comparing the scanned target data to at least one known dimension of one of the plurality of targets; and d) if scanned target data matches the at least one known dimension of one of the plurality of targets, mapping known object model data according to the target data to determine the position and orientation of the object.

A robotic surface treatment system includes an omnidirectional base vehicle; a mast extending from the base vehicle; an arm extending from the mast and moveable in relation to the mast; a wrist connected to a distal end of the arm; and a surface treatment system extending from the base to the wrist through an inside of the mast, arm and wrist.

It is often desirable to apply graphic output to surfaces that are large, irregular, and/or contoured. Application of graphic output on large or complex surfaces may be accomplished by projecting a pattern onto the surface using a projector disposed at a fixed location with respect to the surface. The graphic output is mapped to the projected pattern, by precisely positioning the print head with respect to the projected pattern using a robotic or similar actuated articulated positioning device, graphic output portions may be disposed in each of a plurality of defined locations to form a seamless, large scale graphic output.

A gear train including a rotatable drive shaft and a clutch roller in rotatable contact with the drive shaft or mounted on the drive shaft. A first wobble gear and a second wobble gear are suspended around the drive shaft, wherein the first wobble gear is affixed to and concentric with the second wobble gear and the clutch roller is preloaded against the first and second wobble gears. A first ring gear surrounding and engaged by the first wobble gear; and a second ring gear surrounding and engaged by the second wobble gear. The ring gears being coaxial and rotatable relative to one another. The drive shaft rotates the clutch roller, which drives the first and second wobble gears, such that the wobble gears rotate around the drive shaft and at least one of the first and second ring gears rotate around the common axis.

Large area inkjet printing includes the precise deposition of a number of graphic swathes on complex surface to form a continuous graphic image. Each of the graphic swathes should be aligned such that no spaces, gaps, or discontinuities exist within the final graphic image. A large area inkjet printing system provides the requisite accuracy for each graphic swathe forming the final graphic image through the use of an encoder pattern. An encoder pattern is deposited on the surface in a known location with respect to the most recently deposited graphic swathe. The high-accuracy inkjet printing system locates the print head with respect to the encoder pattern thereby permitting the precise positioning of the current graphic swathe.

An inspection apparatus for inspecting high voltage insulators is disclosed. The inspection apparatus includes a first platform having first and second linkages, at least one outer gripping mechanism having first and second arms extending outwardly from the first platform, a second slidable platform adapted to slide along the first and second linkages, and at least one inner gripping mechanism having third and fourth arms extending outwardly from the second slidable platform. The outer and inner gripping mechanisms are adapted to move between an open position where the insulator is received by the outer and inner gripping mechanisms and a closed position where the outer and inner gripping mechanisms engage the insulator.

An apparatus for lipophilically conditioning potato slices, the apparatus with an elongate tank for containing a reservoir of oil, the tank having an upstream end and a downstream end, an elongate longitudinal conveyor disposed in the tank, the conveyor being adapted to pass products through the reservoir of oil from the upstream end to the downstream end, the conveyor defining therealong a plurality of compartments for containing respective groups of products during passage from the upstream end to the downstream end, and at least one oil jet located on the tank for causing turbulent flow in the reservoir of oil.

Apparatus and method in the manufacture of low oil potato chips

The present invention relates to an overhead transmission line inspection robot and system for inspecting transmission line components and right of way conditions. The overhead transmission line inspection robot includes a communications and control system adapted to control the robot and transmit information and a drive system for propelling the robot along a shield wire to enable inspection over a large area. The robot further includes a camera adapted to inspect right of way and component conditions; a light detection and ranging (LiDar) sensor adapted to measure conductor position, vegetation, and nearby structures; and a global positioning system adapted to identify the robot's position and speed.

Line inspection robot and system

The present invention relates to an overhead transmission line inspection robot and system for inspecting transmission line components and right of way conditions. The line inspection robot includes at least one drive system for propelling the robot along a line, a platform adapted to pivot relative to the at least one drive system, and a control system adapted to control the robot.

The present invention relates to a diverter system to allow a line inspection robot to traverse an object. The diverter system includes a first diverter attached to a shield wire, a second diverter attached to the shield wire at a position spaced from the first diverter, and a bridge having a first end connected to the first diverter and a second end connected to the second diverter. The first diverter disengages the robot from the shield wire and onto the bridge and the second diverter disengages the robot from the bridge and onto the shield wire to allow the robot to traverse the object.

A pneumatic seasoning system and method utilizing a rotating drum for seasoning, a funnel-fed pneumatic eductor, line splitters, and a plurality of specially-designed swirl-inducing nozzle spools for inducing a broad and even seasoning plume. In a preferred embodiment, a pneumatic seasoning system transports seasoning from a seasoning hopper to food items within a rotating drum using a combination of an eductor and four in-line vacuum generators, which vacuum generators operate on compressed air. Each vacuum generator comprises a distributing nozzle roughly shaped like a collared spool, wherein compressed air is supplied to the annular region defined between the spool and its collar, and said compressed air exits through swirl ports distributed about the circumference of the spool exit. Each swirl port preferably has a pitch angle of 15&#xb0; and a yaw angle of 15&#xb0;.
