In one embodiment, a method includes recording a sequence of online activities of a first user. The online activities include online consumption of online content by the first user. The method includes constructing a path based on the sequence of online activities of the first user. The path includes a sequence of online activity points that each correspond to one of the online activities in the sequence of online activities of the first user, and the path enables a second user to experience personally for themselves at least an approximation of the sequence of online activities of the first user. The method includes communicating the path for traversal of a portion of the path by the second user.

Recording a hyper text transfer protocol (HTTP) session for playback

In particular embodiments, a method for editing a web page includes identifying a plurality of components that collectively form a programmatic representation of a first web page. At least one of the components has content that dynamically changes in response to data retrieved externally from the content. A second web page is generated. The second web page includes a plurality of parameters. Each parameter of the second web page corresponds to a respective one of the identified plurality of components. One or more modifications made to the plurality of parameters are interpreted. A programmatic representation of a third web page is generated, the generation based at least in part on the interpretation.

Editing web pages

In one embodiment, a method includes obtaining a target template and processing the target template to identify at least one component of the target template. The method also includes searching at least one collection of content to identify at least a first instance of content that substantially matches the component of the target template. The first instance of content is presented as substantially matching the component. Finally, a first arrangement that includes the first instance of content is created. Such a first arrangement is associated with a mash-up related to the target template.

Method and apparatus for automatic mash-up generation

In one embodiment, a method comprises registering content providers, each content provider having a corresponding independent moderation policy configured for selectively providing network access to a media content item supplied by a user; receiving, from a first of the content providers, a first notification that a first media content item has been moderated by the first content provider; and sending a second notification to at least a second of the content providers, the second notification identifying that the first content provider has moderated the first media content item, the second notification enabling the second content provider to moderate the first media content item based on the second notification and according to the corresponding independent moderation policy of the second content provider.

In one embodiment, a method includes determining a group identity for an audience associated with an event, accessing a plurality of announcements, identifying at least one announcement of the plurality of announcements based on the group identity, and providing the identified announcement to the audience at the event. The group identity is indicative of at least one characteristic of the audience. The plurality of announcements are processed to identify at least one announcement that approximately matches the group identity.
