An introducing stylet is configured for insertion into an endotracheal tube (ETT) and includes an elongated rod having a distal end and a proximal end, and a positioning feature formed on the rod and configured to engage the ETT to prevent both longitudinal and lateral movement of the introducing stylet relative to the ETT. A portion of the distal end of the rod that extends longitudinally outwardly of the ETT and defines a leading end.

A bi-functional intubating and ventilating supraglottic airway includes a supraglottic bowl defining a distal end, a neck extending outward of the supraglottic bowl and defining a proximal end, and a longitudinally extending intubation conduit formed therethrough. The supraglottic bowl includes a cuff and defines a bowl surface, wherein the intubation conduit extends from the proximal end of the neck to an opening in the bowl surface, and wherein the intubation conduit is configured to have an endotracheal tube inserted therethrough. At least one fluid flow channel is formed longitudinally through a wall of the supraglottic airway, collaterally to the intubation conduit, from the proximal end to the bowl surface within the supraglottic bowl.

Downhole equipment circuitry, comprising: a first substrate member including one or more circuits; a second substrate member including one or more circuits; and a flexible circuit, wherein: the first and second substrate members are separate substrate members; the flexible circuit is of a laminated construction; and the flexible circuit provides electrical communication between the one or more circuits of the first substrate member and the one or more circuits for the second substrate member.

Downhole equipment using flexible circuits

An intubation assembly rod is configured to have an endotracheal tube carried thereon and includes an elongated body having a distal end and a proximal end. The distal end of the intubation assembly rod body is tapered, rounded, or spherical, and defines a leading end of the intubation assembly rod. The intubation assembly rod includes a longitudinally extending channel configured such that an elongated member of a device to which the intubation assembly rod may be attached may be inserted into the channel.

Endotracheal tube insertion device

An endotracheal tube insertion device includes an insertion member, a flexible optical assembly member movably mounted to the insertion member, an endotracheal tube, and an endotracheal tube attachment member attached to the insertion member and configured to receive and retain the endotracheal tube.

An optical assembly is configured for use with an endotracheal tube insertion device and includes a flexible member with an elongated body having a substantially cylindrical shape, a distal end, and a proximal end. An endotracheal tube is carried by the flexible member, and an endotracheal tube retention tab extends outwardly from the flexible member and is configured to allow the endotracheal tube to be positioned and retained therein. The endotracheal tube retention tab has a substantially circular cross-sectional shape, defines a longitudinally extending channel, and includes an elongated slot formed therein. The elongated slot is configured to provide access to the channel and to facilitate removal of the endotracheal tube.

Example packaging of microelectronics and example methods of manufacturing the same are provided herein. The packaging can enable and/or improve the use of the microelectronics in a downhole, high temperature and/or high pressure setting. The microelectronics packaging can include double-sided active components, heat sinks, and/or three-dimensional stacking of dies.

High density microelectronics packaging

A first fluid is moved using a second fluid. The first fluid may be moved using a ferrofluid attracted by an electromagnetic field. The electromagnetic field may be generated by an electromagnetic source connected to a conduit, and the first fluid may move through the conduit. In an embodiment, the first fluid may absorb heat from a heat source and transfer the heat to a heat sink. For example, the heat source may be a component of a tool located in a wellbore, and the heat sink may be the wellbore. In an embodiment, the electromagnetic source may be one or more three-phase coils.

System and method for moving a first fluid using a second fluid

An endotracheal tube insertion device includes an insertion member, an optical assembly movably mounted to the insertion member, and an intubation assembly. The intubation assembly includes an intubation assembly body and has a guide system formed thereon. The guide system is configured for releasable attachment to the optical assembly. An endotracheal tube carried by the intubation assembly body.

A laryngoscope and flexible viewing device having means to carry an endotracheal tube into a patient and method of using the device are provided. The device allows a single user to view the interior of a patient's anatomy and change the view to better determine the path for intubation. The device can be used by a single individual to simultaneously open the pathway to a patient's trachea and then deliver an intubation device, such as an endotracheal tube, without the assistance of another person. The device provides several options for the practitioner to both visualize the patient's larynx and deliver an endotracheal tube into the trachea, especially in patients considered to have difficult anatomy to intubate. The viewing device in a preferred embodiment is a fiberoptic scope and the device includes a pivoting means to allow the viewing means to provide a more panoramic view of the patient's throat area.
