A mount according to an example of the present disclosure includes a locating pin, a load pin, a fastener, the fastener configured to retain a component on at least one of the locating pin and the load pin, the fastener including a bolt, a mounting boss and a spring, the spring allowing the mounting boss to move with respect to the bolt, and wherein the bolt is held captive in the mounting boss with a captive feature. A gas turbine engine and a method of mounting a component are also disclosed.

Sliding mount

A valve assembly includes a first sleeve defining a piston bore therein. A second sleeve defines a piston bore therein. The piston bore of the first sleeve and the piston bore of the second sleeve are axially aligned. A piston is slidingly engaged in the piston bores of the first and second sleeves. A seal carrier with a plurality of pieces is axially between the first sleeve and the second sleeve. The plurality of pieces of the multi-piece seal carrier are circumferentially spaced apart from one another.

Valves with multi-piece sleeves

A valve assembly for a turbine engine includes a valve arranged in an air flow path. The valve has a shaft. The valve is movable between an open position and a closed position. An electric actuator is coupled to the shaft and is configured to move the valve between the open position and the closed position. A thermal barrier is arranged between the valve and the electric actuator.

Linear electric air valve

A valve assembly for a turbine engine includes a valve arranged in an air flow path. The valve has a shaft. The valve is movable between an open position and a closed position. A hydraulic actuator is coupled to the shaft. The hydraulic actuator is configured to utilize fuel as a working fluid. The hydraulic actuator is configured to move the valve between the open position and the closed position.

Fueldraulic air valve

A combination shaft including a first shaft including an axial protrusion including a first circumferential surface defining a first outer diameter and a second circumferential surface defining a second outer diameter, and a second shaft having a cavity therein configured to receive at least a portion of the first shaft and being configured to drive an air valve, having internal threads, and defining at least a first inner radial surface having a first inner diameter and a second inner radial surface having second inner diameter, the internal threads being engagable with the external threads to prevent axial movement between the first shaft and the second shaft and the first inner radial surface being engagable with the first outer radial surface and the second inner radial surface being engagable with the second outer radial surface to provide radial centering of the first shaft to the second shaft.

Combination shaft

A transfer valve includes a spool comprising a first circumferential flow channel at a first axial position of the spool and a second circumferential flow channel at a second axial position of the spool. The first circumferential flow channel and the second circumferential flow channel have different circumferential positions and are defined only partially circumferentially, and a sleeve disposed over the spool. The sleeve includes at least three flow windows defined through the sleeve at an axial position of the sleeve, each flow window having different circumferential positions on the sleeve. The spool is configured to translate within the sleeve between a first position and a second position. The first circumferential flow channel of the spool is configured to fluidly connect a first plurality of the at least three windows in the first position, and the second circumferential flow channel is configured to connect a second plurality of the at least three windows in the second position, wherein the first plurality of windows is different by at least one window from the second plurality of windows.

Transfer valves

A fuel control system includes a high pressure relief valve fluidly connected to a fuel pump outlet. The high pressure relief valve includes a closure and a nozzle. The closure has an opening and a locking notch defined by a circumferential wall. The nozzle has a base portion that is received within the opening and has a rim extending between a first surface and a second surface. The nozzle has a tab extending from the rim that is received within the locking notch.

Fuel control system

A bleed valve assembly includes a flow duct with an inlet and an outlet disposed downstream from the inlet. The outlet is smaller in cross-sectional area than a region of the flow duct disposed between the inlet and the outlet. A piston housing is disposed inside the flow duct between the inlet and the outlet so as to form an annular flow passage between the flow duct and the piston housing. The piston housing is axially aligned with a center axis of the flow duct. At least one rib extends between the flow duct and the piston housing. A sleeve piston is disposed inside the piston housing and is configured to extend downstream of the piston housing in a closed position. The sleeve piston comprises an outer wall that is at least the same in cross-sectional area as the outlet of the flow duct.

Self-actuated, in-line bleed valve

A bleed valve includes inlet and outlet housings, a hollow shaft defining a valve axis, and a full-area piston. The shaft includes a first end mounted to an inner diameter portion of the inlet housing and a second end mounted to an end cap of the outlet housing. The piston is slidably mounted to the shaft. A first chamber is defined between an upstream side of the piston and the inner diameter portion of the inlet housing. A second chamber is defined between a downstream side of the piston and the end cap of the outlet housing. An area of an upstream surface of the piston at an angle with respect to the valve axis is in fluid communication with the first chamber, and is substantially equal to an area of a downstream surface of the piston at an angle with respect to the valve axis and in fluid communication with the second chamber.

Full-area bleed valves

A valve includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet. A spool is fixed within the housing and defines a flow window therethrough for fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet. A piston is slidingly engaged in a piston compartment of the spool. A sleeve is slidingly engaged with the spool on an outer surface of the spool. The piston and sleeve are operatively connected for common motion along a sliding axis relative to the spool and housing between a first position in which the sleeve occludes the flow window to inhibit flow from the inlet to the outlet, and a second position in which the sleeve unoccludes the flow window to allow flow from the inlet to the outlet.

Valves with metering sleeves

A flow restrictor includes a first disc and a second disc. A rod extends between the first disc and the second disc and spaces the first disc from the second disc. A first hole is formed in the first disc.

Flow restrictor

An article having good wear resistance includes a first component including a boride coating and a second component including a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum coating that is in sliding contact with the boride coating of the first component.
