Systems having fluid conduit carriers for holding different portions of a fluid conduit and methods of using the same are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a system includes a fluid conduit comprising a first portion and a second portion that are fluidly connected to each other for carrying cooling fluid proximate to a first electronic component and a second electronic component of a computing device. The system also includes a first fluid conduit carrier configured to hold the first portion of the conduit. Further, the system includes a second fluid conduit carrier configured to hold the second portion of the conduit. The first fluid conduit carrier and the second fluid conduit carrier are configured to connect to one another.

According to one embodiment, an enclosure includes at least one bay for insertion of a component therein, a horizontally-oriented upper wall, a horizontally-oriented lower wall, two vertically-oriented sidewalls coupled to the upper and lower walls, four integrated handles, one or more catches, and one or more interlocks, each interlock being physically configured to prevent transition of one or more handles associated therewith from the recessed position to the extended position when a component is installed in at least one bay of the enclosure, wherein two of the handles are positioned within or on an exterior of each of the vertically-oriented sidewalls of the enclosure when in the recessed position, wherein each handle is configured to extend higher than the upper wall of the enclosure when in the extended position, and wherein each handle is configured to retract to within an outer profile of the enclosure when in the recessed position.

According to one embodiment, a system includes an enclosure configured to be removable from a rack system, the enclosure including at least one bay for insertion of a component therein, a horizontally-oriented upper wall, a horizontally-oriented lower wall, two vertically-oriented sidewalls coupled to the upper and lower walls, and a set of integrated handles, each handle being configured to transition from a recessed position to an extended position, and each handle being configured to be gripped by a hand when in the extended position, wherein each handle is configured to extend higher than the upper wall of the enclosure when in the extended position, and wherein each handle is configured to retract to within an outer profile of the enclosure when in the recessed position. Each handle is configured to rotate 180&#xb0; from the recessed position to the extended position.

A product, according to one embodiment, includes a support portion, the support portion being elongated in a first direction; and an insertion portion extending from the support portion in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, the insertion portion having dimensions allowing insertion of the insertion portion in a card connector of a circuit board. At least an exterior of the insertion portion is electrically insulating. The support portion is wider than the insertion portion in a third direction orthogonal to each of the first and second directions.

A split chassis with a floating midplane carrier is provided. The split chassis is a modular electronic chassis which includes a first chassis section and a midplane carrier floatingly mounted to the first chassis section. The modular electronic chassis further includes a second chassis section mounted to the first chassis section, with the midplane carrier mounted between the first chassis section and the second chassis section.

A system includes a chassis, first and second blade servers, and a scalability device. Each blade server is securable within the chassis and includes a scalability port, cam handle for selectively securing the blade server in the chassis, and handle latch for selectively latching the cam handle in a closed position, and lockout mechanism moveable into a position that blocks the handle latch in a latched position. The scalability device includes first and second scalability connectors, wherein positioning the scalability device so that the first scalability connector is coupled to a scalability port of the first blade server and the second scalability connector is coupled to a scalability port of the second blade server causes each lockout mechanism to move into the position that blocks the handle latches in the latched position. Accordingly, the scalability device must be removed before either of the blade servers can be removed.

A blade server comprises first and second housing portions. Each housing portion includes a cover securing a first printed circuit board assembly, two sides extending from the cover, a bezel portion secured along a proximal end of the cover between the two sides, a first hinge member formed near the proximal end of one side, and a second hinge member formed near the proximal end of the other side. The hinge members on the first housing portion are selectively engagable with the hinge members on the second housing portion to enable the housing portions to pivot between an open position and a closed position with the first and second printed circuit board assemblies disposed between the first and second housing portions.

Assembly and connection of electronic components are provided. In one embodiment, electronic components such as a CPU planar, power supplies, and other electronic components or subassemblies are positioned within an enclosure. An interface board removably positionable in the enclosure carries a plurality of electronic connectors, providing an electronic interface between the CPU planar, power supplies, and other electronic subassemblies. The interface board is movably mounted to a component module on a track. The component module is inserted in a first bay, with the attached interface board in a first position. The interface board connects to a movable cable plate, and is subsequently moved to a second position along with the connected cable plate to move one or more of the connectors to a second bay. An electronic subassembly positioned in the second bay or another bay may then be connected the interface board. Other electronic components may be connected to the interface board via the cable plate. The interface board may be locked in a variety of ways in the second position to prevent damage to connected electronic components.

A low overhead hinge assembly comprising a stationary hinge plate and a rotating hinge plate. The stationary hinge plate having a stationary hinge plate body portion and a plurality of stationary hinge plate digits coupled to the stationary hinge plate body portion, each of the stationary hinge plate digits having an opening therein. The rotating hinge plate having a rotating hinge plate body portion and a plurality of pins coupled to the rotating hinge plate body portion, wherein the stationary hinge plate digits are configured to be engaged with the rotating hinge plate pins so that each of a plurality of the rotating hinge plate pins is inserted into an opening in one of the stationary hinge plate digits so as to pivotally couple the rotating hinge plate to the stationary hinge plate.

An electronic module rack system includes a rack housing and opposing first and second rail members attached to the housing. A stabilizer bar is attached to the first and second rail members. The rail members support a cable trough assembly, and at least one cable separator retainer extends from the cable trough assembly. A method for managing cables for an electronic module includes connecting a first cable to the electronic module and connecting a second cable to the electronic module. The first cable is placed in a cable trough assembly and the second cable is placed in a cable separator retainer extending from the cable trough assembly. A cable support system includes a cable trough assembly and means for supporting cables outside the cable trough assembly.

Cable management system

A computer drive module including at least one computer drive; a module housing; and a backplane printed circuit board. The module housing includes a first section adapted to be connected to a computer housing and a second section movably connected to the first section between a retracted position and an extended position. The second section is adapted to pivot relative to the first section when the second section is at the extended position. The backplane printed circuit board is connected to a rear end of the second section of the module housing.

Computer module connection

A system permitting vertical and horizontal movement of a first board for proper mating of a first connector on the first board to a second connector on a second board. The first board being aligned pivots about a pivot pin, which is mounted on a mechanical plate at a first end of the board that is opposite to a second end of the board to which a first connector is mounted. This pivoting allows transverse (horizontal) movement of the first board. The first board floats on springs located between the first board and the mechanical plate to which the first board is mounted. These springs afford longitudinal (vertical) movement of the first board, while also providing a friction fit between the first board and the mechanical plate. When the first connector is aligned properly with as second connector on a second board, the first and second connectors can be mated.

Board connector adjusting system

A hand tightened locking pin using a unique internal cam configuration to lock the pin assembly. The pin assembly includes a sleeve and a locking cam unit. The sleeve includes anti-rotation protrusions that match a keyhole in a first metal plate to prevent rotation of the sleeve. The pin assembly is inserted through the keyhole of the first metal plate and a circular hole in a second metal plate that lies on the first metal plate. When the locking cam unit, which is inside the sleeve, is rotated, a lower portion of the sleeve expands, locking the first and metal plates together. The cam is locked in position by concave shaped ends that mate over bulges in the lower portion of the sleeve. A locked/unlocked indicator on top of the pin assembly indicates when the concave shaped ends are mated with the bulges.

Locking turn pin

A system and apparatus to couple a bracket member with a receiver member is disclosed. Embodiments may couple bracket members with receiver members, such as brackets to rails of racks, via a flexible member. The flexible member may secure a bracket member to a receiver member by fastening the bracket member to a corresponding extension or tab of the receiver member. Some embodiments may load a second portion of the flexible member such that pressure applied to the second portion can transfer the load to a first portion of the flexible member to facilitate coupling the bracket member with or decoupling the bracket member from the receiver member. In many of these embodiments, the load may transfer as a waveform along the flexible member. Further embodiments provide a lever for the second portion of the flexible member to facilitate transferring a load to the first portion.

Apparatus and system to attach a member

An electrical equipment rack includes an electrical equipment unit that slides in and out of the rack on two drawer slides. A hinge attaches a first cable management arm to the rack or to a first drawer slide, which is attached to the rack. Another hinge attaches a second cable management arm to the equipment unit or to a second drawer slide, which is attached to the equipment unit. A flexible linkage is connected between and joins each of the free ends of the two cable management arms. Cables for interconnecting two or more equipment units are attached to the cable management arms and flexible linkage. The equipment unit can be extended out the front or back of the rack for servicing, and each of the cable management arms can be rotated away from the equipment unit to permit easy access to the unit. The flexible linkage limits the bend radii of the cables without regard to the position of the cable management arms or the position of the equipment unit relative to the rack. In another embodiment, a single flexible cable management arm is used instead of the two cable management arms and flexible linkage.
