A method, apparatus, and signal-bearing medium that monitors users' audio choices within a network and presents a sorted list of the most recent or most frequent choices in a user interface, from which the user may select. The sorted list may include attributes of the audio, such as the title, the genre, the artist, the source, and the number of times the audio has been played. The list may be kept on a per-user basis, so that all users have their own list. Further, the users may access their list anywhere in the network, and the list may be independent of the location in the network where the audio was played.

Cataloging audio content

A method, apparatus, and signal-bearing medium that presents a station list of sources of audio in a user interface from which the user may select. The station list may include attributes of the audio, such as a channel and description. The station list may be kept on a per-user basis, so that all users may have their own list. Further, the users may access and select audio to be played from their station list anywhere in a network, regardless of where the list was created.

The present invention is a method and apparatus to display information. The method comprises retrieving a first value representative of a first device parameter, and detecting a second value representative of a second device parameter. A template corresponding to a graphic object is retrieved from a storage. A graphic attribute that characterizes the graphic object is generated from the template. The first and second values displayed and an image is generated from the graphic object according to the graphic attribute.

The method comprises interfacing an interface module to the system BIOS, and receiving a request from the system BIOS to perform a task. System device information associated with the task is received from the system BIOS. The interface module translates the system device information to provide translated information. The translated information is then transferred to a corresponding module.

System and method for providing functionalities to system BIOS

A method and apparatus for automatically installing a target application module and de-installing the target application module if it fails to execute or function properly is described. In one embodiment, the method includes determining whether a shared resource exists on a target media, and, if the shared resource exists, determining whether the application module functioned properly on the target media, and automatically de-installing the application module if the application module failed to function properly.
