An example system includes a motor/generator selectively coupled to a drive line of a vehicle, and configured to selectively modulate power transfer between an electrical load and the drive line; a battery pack; a DC/DC converter electrically interposed between the motor/generator and the electrical load, and between the battery pack and the electrical load; a covering tray positioned over a plurality of batteries of the battery pack, the covering tray comprising a connectivity layer that has a charging circuit allowing each of the plurality of batteries to be discharged individually; a plurality of battery microcontrollers, each of the plurality of battery microcontrollers associated with a corresponding one of a plurality of batteries of the battery pack; and a primary DC/DC controller configured to command operations of the DC/DC converter; wherein the plurality of battery microcontrollers are operationally coupled to the primary DC/DC controller.

System and method of a mobile electrical system

A system includes a PTO device that selectively couples to a driveline of a vehicle, a motor/generator electrically coupled to an electrical power storage system, and a shared load selectively powered by one of the driveline or the motor/generator. The PTO device further includes a coupling actuator that couples the shared load to the motor/generator at a first selected ratio in a first position, and couples the shared load to the driveline at a second selected ratio in a second position.

Transmission mounted electrical charging system with dual mode load and engine off motive load power

A motor drive converter includes a cold plate having a first side and a second side, the first side being opposite to the second side. The motor drive converter may further include at least one motor phase power electronics disposed on the first side of the cold plate, and a capacitor array disposed on the second side of the cold plate. The cold plate may include slots therethrough for a conductor to pass through the cold plate. The conductor may be configured to electrically coupling the capacitor array and the at least one motor phase power electronics.

System, method, and apparatus for integrating high power density power electronics on a mobile application

A system includes a planetary gear assembly having a ring gear, a plurality of planet gears coupled to a carrier, and a sun gear coupled to a main shaft. The system further includes a driven gear coupled to the carrier, a countershaft gear coupled to the driven gear, a motor/generator coupled to the main shaft, and an actuator structured to change a coupling of the ring gear based on a position of the actuator.

A system includes a PTO device that selectively couples to a driveline of a vehicle at each of two driveline coupling positions, and a motor/generator electrically coupled to an electrical power storage system. The system further includes a shared load selectively powered by the driveline or the motor/generator. The PTO device further includes a coupling actuator that couples the shared load to the motor/generator in a first position, and couples the shared load to the driveline in a second position.

A hydraulic system includes a power source, a fluid displacement assembly, a plurality of actuators, a plurality of control valves and an electronic control unit. The fluid displacement assembly is coupled to the power source. The plurality of actuators is in selective fluid communication with the fluid displacement assembly. The plurality of control valves is adapted to provide selective fluid communication between the fluid displacement assembly and the plurality of actuators. The electronic control unit is adapted to actuate the plurality of control valves, the electronic control unit receives a rotational speed of the power source, determines a firing frequency of the power source based on the rotational speed, selects a frequency of the pulse width modulation signal for the plurality of control valves based on the firing frequency of the power source, and actuates the plurality of control valves in accordance with the frequency of the pulse width modulation signal.

Control valve actuation

An electrically actuated shifting mechanism includes a reversible rail select electric motor and a reversible in-gear electric motor. Three groups of switches are provided to effect one-at-a-time operation of the motors with a center group of switches being used to effect operation of either the rail select or the in-gear motor and to determine the direction of operation of the motor. In one embodiment of the invention, the motor control circuitry also controls the operation of a main clutch motor. Four groups of switches are used to effect operation of the in-gear, rail select and clutch motors in desired directions. Pulse width modulation is used to effect simultaneous and out-of-phase operation of the in-gear and main clutch motors.
