Disclosed herein is a composite structure comprising a layer of a gas filled cellular insulation material combined with a layer of impact resistant thermoplastic sheet material wherein an ABS sheet having a substantial number of rubber particles in range of from about 4 to about 10 microns (LR ABS) is interposed between the gas filled cellular material and the thermoplastic sheet.

Polytetrafluoroethylene resin within a specific particle size range, preferably about 70 to about 700 microns, in polymeric thermoplastic styrenic compositions containing conventional flame retardant additives permits reducing the amount of such additives in the composition to levels low enough to avoid adverse effect on performance properties of such compositions which would otherwise occur at higher levels of such additives necessary to achieve UL-94 flame retardant performance.

There is disclosed a process for preparing a latex comprising grafted rubber particles for ABS polyblends that is free of coagulum, the steps comprising, preparing said latex and passing it through a porous filter bed means comprising agglomerated particles of said latex, removing said coagulum and producing a filtered latex. The process also includes the steps of blending said latex with a matrix polymer latex to form a mixed latex and coagulating said mixed latex and recovering said grafted rubber particles and matrix polymer as an ABS polyblend.
