A bracket device to secure one or more tail wires of one or more drop clamps to a utility pole. The bracket device includes one or more support ribs extending perpendicularly from the bracket base, and attached to one or more side supports. The support ribs and side supports define one or more retention regions along the side of the bracket based. A plurality of securing bolts can be cooperatively coupled to the side supports and define secondary retention regions. The securing bolts may be moved between an open position and a closed position. The bracket device can further comprise a top loop, which extends from the bracket base, and which can be coupled to additional wires. The bracket device can be secured to a utility pole or similar structure by a single fastening component, which is configured to pass through the cavity of the bracket base.

Pole stringing bracket device and method of use

A bracket device to secure a tail wire of a drop wire clamp to a structure including a base having a surface. The bracket device further includes a retention hook having a first end, a second end, and retention region defined between the first end and second end. The first end of the retention hook is coupled to the base surface, and the second end of the retention hook is disposed at a predetermined distance from the base surface to define a gap therebetween having a width. The bracket device further includes a locking nut that is cooperatively coupled to the second end of the retention hook and adapted to move between an unlocked position to permit a wire to enter the retention region and a locked position in which a wire is retained by the retention hook in the retention region by a reduction of the gap width.

Bracket device and method

Device for attaching a cable to a structure using an implement that includes a first body segment having a first end, a second end, and an inner wall, and defines a recess extending from the first end to the second end. The implement is receivable within the recess from the first end and permitted to extend beyond the second end to attach the device to the structure. A second body segment is coupled to the first body segment by a joining member, the second body segment having a first end, a second end, an inner wall, and defining a second body channel adapted to receive the cable. The inner wall of the first body segment, the inner wall of the second body segment, and the joining member define a first channel adapted to receive the cable.

A shim to secure a cable against a shell of a clamp using a wedge to bias the shim against the cable onto the shell. The shim includes an elongate shim base with longitudinal sides, a first end, a second end, and a center longitudinal axis. The shim also includes a first and second raised sidewall having a height and respectively coupled to the longitudinal sides of the base and extending away from the base. Additionally, the shim can include a stabilizing structure coupled to the first and second raise sidewalls to secure the shim laterally in the shell.

The present invention provides a system of manually linked fastening clips for electrical cables. The manually linked clips are preferably linked to one another by way of a tongue-and-groove joint. Since the clips of the present invention are manually linkable via the tongue-and-groove joint, an installer may manually link electrical cable fasteners into numbered groupings of the installer's own choosing. The tongue-and-groove joint of the clips permits the installer to easily separate linked clips from one another by simply rotating one linked clip with respect to the other. This rotating action quickly and effortlessly disengages the tongue portion of one linked fastener from the corresponding groove portion of the other linked fastener, thereby facilitating the installation of electrical cable. The manually linked clips may be inserted into a clip dispensing sleeve to provide the installer with a continuous feed of cable fastening clips during installation.

System and method for securing electrical cable using manually linkable cable fastening clips

The present invention provides a system for coupling a coaxial cable with a power ground wire in which a coaxial splice is attached directly to a common service power ground wire via a connector. The direct attachment creates a bonding point that prevents electricity on the drops from entering a building via interior wiring. The connector attaches on one end to a common utility service ground wire. The connector further connects two ends of coaxial drop cable such that the cable is spliced at the point of the connector. This dual bonding results in decreased installation costs due to diminished need for additional ground wire. The dual bonding provides a further advantage in that it reduces the differential in electrical potentials between the power utility and cable television systems. This results in a more direct path to ground and superior electrical characteristics.

System and method for connecting service ground wire and coaxial drop cable

An adjustable clamping device provides means for attaching a grounding wire to a metal boxes and in particular metal boxes coated with a thin layer of paint or other nonconductive material. An adjustable C-shaped clamp is provided with a grounding block between the wall of the meter box and the C-shaped clamp. The grounding block is formed with a plurality of abrading tips that extend from the block into engagement with the wall. A screw threaded through the clamp engages and exerts pressure on the grounding block towards the metal meter wall with abrading tips extending from the block into pressured contact with the wall. Means are provided for moving the grounding block and abrading tips parallel to the wall while the tips are maintained in pressure engagement with the wall whereby the tips abrade the wall as they move parallel thereto.

Drop wire clamp

A drop wire clamp for securing a drop wire having a messenger strand and a support wire and a method for securing the drop wire and for transferring the load of the drop wire to a support structure is provided. The clamp uses a helical spiral and an anchor for engaging and securing the drop wire. The support wire may be placed into the channel defined by the helical spiral by inserting the drop wire through an open end of the channel, by weaving the drop wire into openings between coils of the helical spiral or by deforming a malleable segment of the clamp to shape and form a helical spiral around the support wire. The clamp with engaged drop wire is fixed and supported to a support structure so that at least part of the load of the drop wire transfers to the structure.

A drop wire clamp comprising a shell, a wedge, and a shim, for securing a cable to a fixed object. The shell is an elongated open ended member that is tapered in length and is formed with a U shaped cross section, sized to receive the wedge in sliding engagement. The wedge has a shim fixed to its lower side with a surface shaped to frictionally engage the upper surface of a cable positioned within the shell and press it against a friction surface forming the bottom of the shell. A bail engages the wedge and shim to pull the wedge into operative engagement with the shell and a segment of cable extending through the shell.
