A safety latch for a mud skip container includes a first latch that is pivotal within a bracket that is mounted to a top of the container. The first latch may include a pivoting head with a downwardly projecting catch and an arm connected to the head. The arm extends through an aperture in the bracket and a spring is disposed about the arm between the head and an end wall of the bracket. The safety latch further includes a second latch mounted to a pivoting lid of the container; and, the second latch includes an upwardly projecting catch on a head of the latch. The head of the second latch is positioned over a pivot axis of the lid and positioned relative to the first latch such that the catches of respective first and second latches engage one another when the lid is opened.

A pressure relief valve (), having: an upper housing () defining a housing internal chamber () and comprising at least one window () between the upper housing chamber and the atmosphere; a lower housing () comprising a housing opening (); a pallet () disposed within the housing internal chamber; and a pair of nested springs () disposed within the housing internal chamber and configured to bias the pallet toward the lower housing and thereby form a seal () between the housing opening and the housing internal chamber. When the pressure in the housing opening is at a full discharge pressure that is greater than and within fourteen percent of the start-to-discharge pressure, the pair of nested springs is configured to permit the pallet to travel a sufficient distance to expose a flow area of the at least one window that is at least greater than a flow area () of the housing opening.

A cap assembly () for attachment to an external fixture () on a tank () of a tanker trailer (), including: a collar () configured to secure the cap assembly to the tank external fixture and defining a collar opening () concentrically aligned with an opening () of the fixture; a lid () that is moveable between a closed position where the lid covers the collar opening and is in sealing engagement with the collar, and an open position where the lid is vertically raised from the collar and pivoted laterally away from the collar opening; and an actuator assembly () that is configured to move the lid from the closed position to the open position during a single stroke of the actuator assembly, and which is remotely operable from a location off of the tanker trailer.
