A method of obtaining a dot product using a memristive dot product engine with a nulling amplifier includes applying a number of programming voltages to a number of row lines within a memristive crossbar array to change the resistance values of a corresponding number of memristors located at intersections between the row lines and a number of column lines. The method also includes applying a number of reference voltages to the number of the row lines and applying a number of operating voltages to the number of the row lines. The operating voltages represent a corresponding number of vector values. The method also includes determining an array output based on a reference output and an operating output collected from the number of column lines.

Memristive dot product engine with a nulling amplifier

An optical lighting apparatus having a constant luminance with a drive current controlled by a controller unit. A temperature controlled photodetector indirectly monitors the luminance and informs the controller when a change in luminance has occurred so that the controller can make appropriate adjustments to the drive current. Also disclosed is a method of regulating the drive current to a light source to enable the luminance to remain fixed and independent of fluctuations in ambient temperature. A temperature compensated photodetector senses the amount of light reflected off a diffuser lens and feeds back the output to a controller circuit which regulates the drive current to the light source. The lighting apparatus has application in calibrating imaging systems, such as digital cameras, and for scanning devices.

According to one embodiment, an imaging device analysis system includes a light source configured to generate a plurality of light beams for analysis of an imaging device, wherein the light beams comprise light of a plurality of different spectral power distributions, processing circuitry coupled with the light source and configured to control the light source to generate the light beams, and an optical interface optically coupled with a light receiving member of the imaging device and configured to communicate the plurality of light beams to the light receiving member of the imaging device.

A color analysis system includes a light source and a sensor configured to provide an output signal in response to reflected light received from the first light source. A controller receives the output signal and is configured to determine an adjustment factor based on the output signal, and determine a color based on the output signal and the adjustment factor.

A color analysis system includes a plurality of light sources configured to illuminate a test patch. A sensor is configured to receive light from the plurality of light sources reflected from the test patch. A controller is configured to determine the color of the test patch in response to light received by the sensor reflected from the first light source, and adjust the color determination in response to light received by the sensor reflected from the first and second light sources.

A computer implemented method for utilizing a plurality of self-activating display shaping devices to provide shape adjustment information for a digital image projected on a display is disclosed. In one embodiment, the plurality of display shaping devices are automatically activated, the plurality of display shaping devices defining a desired digital image shape for a display. In addition, the plurality of display shaping devices is utilized to identify an actual projected digital image shape. The actual projected digital image shape is then compared with the desired digital image shape for the display. Correction information is then provided for adjusting the actual projected digital image shape to approximate the desired digital image shape for the display.
