The invention is an apparatus and technique for tuning the cross coupling of resonators in a dielectric resonator circuit. A cross coupling element such as a coaxial cable having a first end positioned adjacent a first resonator in the circuit and a second end position adjacent a second resonator is supported on the housing of the circuit intermediate its first and second ends. At least one end of the cross coupling element is in contact with a cross coupling tuning element that extends through an external wall of the housing so that it can be manipulated from outside of the housing to move the corresponding end of the cross coupling element relative to the adjacent resonator inside the housing without opening the housing.

An attachment assembly provides quick attachment of an automotive antenna unit or other object to the exterior of a vehicle. A single worker is able to install the antenna unit or other object with one downward push from the exterior without the need for tools. The attachment assembly also includes an anti-rotation feature to prevent rotation. The attachment assembly can only be removed from the interior, rendering the attachment assembly tamper resistant from the exterior. The attachment assembly can also be mounted on vehicles with various panel thicknesses.

Solar shield

A unique solar shield and a solar-ray shielding method are disclosed. The solar shield of the present invention is divided essentially into two parts&mdash;a wrapping member and a mounting plate. The wrapping member wraps around an electronic device. The mounting plate holds the wrapping member around the electronic device. The electronic device is fixedly attached to the mounting plate using known fasteners such as bolts. The solar shield shields the electronic device from solar rays and prevents unwanted heat absorption due to the solar rays.
