A water skipping article for use by a user in launching the article in a substantially horizontal trajectory and with a specified rotation spin. The article includes a three-dimensional body constructed of a biodegradable material and having a smooth and continuous exterior surface with a substantially circular and smooth edged outer perimeter. The body further includes a side profile defined by upper and lower elliptically extending faces and which converge into the smooth profile of the circular outer perimeter. A hollowed, substantially elliptical and interior cavity is defined in substantially centric and suspended fashion within the body. Upon launching of the water skipping article by the user, the configuration of the interior cavity causes centrifugal forces to be applied in a direction towards the solid outer perimeter of the article and to thereby increase individual incidences of the article contacting the water surface in a skipping fashion.

A system and method for inscribing a bullion article, including a first processor having a display terminal and a mouse controller. A drawing program generates and displays a selected font illustration. The processor incorporates a program for rendering a single line art representation of the displayed font, typically through the use of the mouse to retrace a center line of the font. The manual redrawing is then saved as a file in a first format and converted to a second format for subsequent transmission and execution by a numerical controller. A milling tool is instructed by the controller to inscribe, to a selected depth, the surface of the bullion article in single pass fashion. A CNC Mill, sander, polish and polishing cloths, and sealant for treating and finishing the inscribed articles are provided, such articles typically including both minted and milled/inscribed faces.

System and method for efficiently inscribing bullion articles utilizing a milling tool and a numeric controller

A hand tool for holding a spinning disc while the circumference of the disc is being ground is noteworthy for its ability to accommodate disks of various thicknesses. The disc is gripped between two resilient grippers that rotate with the disc. The grippers are mounted for rotation to the jaws of the tool. The jaws slide open and closed on two spaced parallel guide pins that are parallel to the axes of rotation of the grippers. This assures that as the jaws are opened or closed to accommodate discs of different thicknesses, the axes of the grippers remain colinear.

An adjustable headpad assembly is disclosed for use in a headset of the type having a resilient headband with a bridge portion configured to overlie a user's head and leg portions depending from the bridge portion to stirrups carrying earcups configured and dimensioned to enclose a user's ears. The adjustable headpad assembly includes slide members carried on and moveable along the leg portions, a cushioning element extending between the leg portions and connected at opposite ends to the slide members, and a latch unit. The latch unit is releasable to accommodate movement of the slide members along the leg portions to selected positions of adjustment, and is engageable to fix the slide members at the selected positions.
