Compositions and methods using subterranean treatment fluids comprising water-soluble polymers are provided. In some embodiments, the methods include: adding an anionic or amphoteric water-soluble polymer to a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid; adding a dewatering agent to the treatment fluid, wherein the dewatering agent comprises an aqueous phase, a solvent, a co-solvent, and one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of: ethoxylated alcohol, a polyamine polyether, a resin alkoxylated oligomer, and any combination thereof; and introducing the treatment fluid into a well bore penetrating at least a portion of the subterranean formation.

Compositions and methods using subterranean treatment fluids comprising water-soluble polymers

Methods for preparing and using invert emulsions and treatment fluids including the invert emulsions are provided herein. In one or more embodiments, the methods of the present disclosure comprise providing an aqueous fluid comprising water and one or more water-soluble monomers; providing an oil-based fluid comprising a solvent and one or more polymerization surfactants, wherein the solvent comprises a linear or branched dibasic ester; combining the aqueous fluid and the oil-based fluid to form an invert emulsion that comprises an aqueous phase comprising the aqueous fluid and an oil phase comprising the oil-based fluid; and polymerizing at least a portion of the one or more water-soluble monomers in the invert emulsion.

Methods for preparing invert emulsions using dibasic ester solvents

A downhole treatment fluid made up of a binding composition and a proppant, the binding composition including an aluminosilicate source, a metal silicate, an alkali metal activator. The binding composition may form a coated particulate or an aggregate with the proppant and provides strength-enhancing properties. The binding composition has easy handling properties facilitating on-the-fly preparation and downhole injection procedures. Furthermore, the binding composition has a low strength-hardening temperature and so may strength-harden in the presence of downhole temperatures.

Methods including pumping a fracturing fluid into a subterranean formation through an annulus between the subterranean formation and a pipe conveyance at a rate above a fracture gradient of the subterranean formation to create and/or open at least one fracture in the subterranean formation; continuously pumping a proppant-free fluid into the subterranean formation through the annulus at a first rate to extend the open fracture; continuously pumping a proppant fluid through an interior of the pipe conveyance and out the exit of the interior of the pipe conveyance at a second rate that is less than the first rate; and placing the proppant particulates into a portion of a fracture in the subterranean formation so as to form a proppant pack having proppant-free channels therein.
