A communications system may include a content provider device having an instant message (IM) content provider contact associated therewith and may be configured to store content. The communications system may include an IM contact server configured to register the content provider device and thereafter allow subscriber access to the IM content provider contact. The communications system may further include a communications server configured to communicate with the content provider device, and a subscriber device configured to access the IM content provider contact from the IM contact server, and download content from the content provider device via the communications server and based upon the IM content provider contact.

A communications system includes a mobile wireless communications device, a trusted server, and a plurality of host servers. A given one of the host servers is in communication with the mobile wireless communications device. The given host server is configured to generate and send a redirection request to the mobile wireless communications device, the redirection request requesting the mobile wireless communications device to communicate with an other one of the host servers. The mobile wireless communications device is configured to send the redirection request to the trusted server, and the trusted server configured to send the redirection request to the mobile wireless communications device based upon verification of the redirection request.

In one embodiment, a network architecture is described for facilitating delivery of data items over a communications network to a mobile communications device. The plurality of communication infrastructure nodes are configured to generate an association mismatch communications path between the service provider device and the mobile wireless communications device, the association mismatch communications path including at least two communication infrastructure nodes in series. The system includes a first network for use with a second network. Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing end-to-end security over an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)-enabled network are provided. A first subscriber module accesses an IMS network via an access gateway as a roaming network. The roaming network routes a request for a session from the first subscriber module from its P-CSCF to the I-CSCF of a third-party home network. The third party home network, in turn, routes the request to an S-CSCF implemented at the subscriber's home network, which comprises a second subscriber module. In this way, the session between the two subscriber modules is managed by the subscriber's S-CSCF rather than by a carrier's IMS network, and the subscriber may administer the security relationship without reliance on the carrier or the third party.
