A system architecture for managing a telecommunication network includes network equipment and supported network services, wherein the equipment has associated control interfaces. The architecture has a base layer proxying the interfaces and decoupling them from management functions, and a support layer having a community of agents co-ordinating operation of the base layer in order to support distributed management functionalities. The base layer and the support layer constitute separated superposed layers in the architecture. The layers in the architecture preferably include components adapted to perform respective functions based on respective instruction information provided to them. A data base is provided for storing the instruction information. The architecture is arranged for distributing the instruction information from the data base to the components. Preferably, all the layers in the architecture include process executors.

System architecture method and computer program product for managing telecommunication networks

A method and system for managing resources in telecommunications services and networks. The method and system regard execution of processes by distributed agents on processing machines to perform predetermined tasks on the network, and are characterized by setting target data including goals on processes and constraints on resource utilization to be met by the system; monitoring computational resources utilization and processes execution by agents, and collecting performance data representative of resource utilization and process execution; comparing the collected performance data with the set data, a penalty being established when performance data do not fulfill target data; and re-allocating resources for process execution by agents so as to minimize the penalty determined on the basis of the comparison.

Method for managing resources in a platform for telecommunication service and/or network management, corresponding platform and computer program product therefor

A system for the quality status analysis of an access network of a fixed network infrastructure. The access network has a plurality of cables, a set thereof supporting broadband transmissive systems. The analysis system is configured repeatedly to draw from remote positions, static network information stored in the first data sources, and dynamic network information, relating to the broadband transmissive systems, from second data sources; and has an information processing module configured to collect the static and dynamic network information from the information acquisition module, and process the static and dynamic network information from the information acquisition module, and process the static and dynamic network information to obtain an index representing the quality status of the access network. In particular, the dynamic network information is linked to measurements taken during transmission on the broadband systems that are already installed and active in the network.
