A welding machine, preferably of the flash butt welding type, designed to facilitate maintenance of the clamping means, e.g. clamps, of the two longitudinal metal products to be welded. Advantageously, a first structure, provided with first clamping means, and a second structure, provided with second clamping means, are supported in a first part of the carriage delimited by a first beam and a second beam of the carriage parallel to the feeding direction, while at least one transformer is fixed to the carriage and supported in a second part of the carriage, arranged laterally outside the first part.

Welding machine

A shear for cutting and simultaneously conveying one or more pairs of rolling wires or bars includes a mobile diverter with at least two channels in each of which a wire or bar slides and at least two pairs of counter-rotating knives, each pair of which acts upon the wire or bar to produce cut segments of wires or bars. The cut segments of wires or bars are then conveyed by a conveying device including at least one pair of mobile elements that may be configured to move independent of each other and to be synchronized with each other and with the mobile diverter for facilitating insertion of each of the cut sections of wires or bars into an output channel of at least two pairs of output channels, each pair of output channels corresponding to one of the mobile diverters.

Single shear for cutting and conveying multiple rolled sections

The single shear described herein for cutting and simultaneously conveying one or more pairs of rolling wires or bars includes a mobile diverter consisting of at least two channels in each of which a wire or bar slides. The single shear further includes at least two pairs of counter-knives, each of which acts on the wire or bar, and a conveying device for conveying the cut segments of wires or bars. The conveying device may include at least one pair of mobile elements configured to be independent of each other, but configured to be synchronized with each other and with the mobile diverter for the separate management of each of said cut sections of wires or bars. The single shear may finally include at least two pairs of output channels for conveying the cut segments of wires or bars.

A steel plant for the production of long metal products includes a continuous casting machine and a rolling mill disposed contiguous and in direct succession downstream of the continuous casting machine. The continuous casting machine is provided with at least two casting lines and the rolling mill is provided with at least two rolling lines. The plant includes a single feed apparatus for feeding molten metal, and the at least two casting lines are configured to receive molten metal from the single feed apparatus.

Steel plant with multiple co-rolling line and corresponding method of production

A steel plant for the production of long metal products comprises a continuous casting machine, a rolling mill disposed downstream of the continuous casting machine, and one or more transfer paths for the semifinished cast products, configured to connect the continuous casting machine and the rolling mill. The steel plant also comprises at least one maintenance and/or heating furnace, a discharge plate for the semifinished cast products, and an aerial transfer device.

Steel plant for the production of long metal products and corresponding production method

The descaling device () of the interior of a tube () comprises a supporting structure (), a conveyor () for conveying the tube () with an inclinable stretch to arrange the tube in an inclined position by an angle with respect to the horizontal plane, a lance () with nozzles () to spray a fluid inside the tube () to carry out the operation of descaling the inner surface. Apparatus for in-line thermally treating semi-finished products

An apparatus for forming a bundle () of rolled bars, comprising bar conveying means (), an inclined plane device () for forming a layer of bars and bar accumulation means (), wherein the inclined plane device () comprises a plurality of support elements (), arranged parallel to each another and defining a first plane inclined by an angle (a) with respect to a horizontal direction, and adapted to receive a predetermined number of bars defining the layer of bars on said first plane from said bar conveying means (), handling means () for translating the inclined plane device () from a first maximum advancement position distal from the conveyor means () to a second maximum retraction position proximal to the conveyor means () to unload the layer of bars onto the accumulation means (), at a speed such to prevent the bars resting on said supporting elements from being dragged.

Apparatus and process for forming rolled bar bundles

A device () for forming rolled bar () bundles which allows to obtain perfectly tidy and super compact bundles, in which the bars () are perfectly aligned with one another without twisting, tangling or overlapping, both inside and outside the bundle, conferring an excellent shape and regular appearance to the same. A process for forming rolled bar bundles by using the aforesaid device is also described.

Device and process for forming rolled bar bundles

Compact plant for making steel bars and profiles with which, starting from the scrap, it is possible to obtain the finished product, for example bars with commercial length from 6 to 18 meters, pre-packed, packaged and ready for sale, with all the stations placed in line and operating continuously. All the stations are arranged in reduced spaces, thereby reducing both investment costs and plant management costs, and decreasing production times. Advantageously, the plant of the invention incorporates an extremely compact bar packaging apparatus which, through an innovative arrangement and innovative operating method of the components thereof, allows a further reduction in length.

Compact plant for continuous production of bars and/or profiles

Coiling device ('R') and relative method for a windable long, metal product (). The device ('R') comprises a mandrel () having a substantially circular transverse section and rotating around a horizontal, vertical or inclined axis, a containing element () to contain the metal product () arranged in correspondence with the mandrel () and substantially orthogonal to the axis, and at least a guide and containing device () able to be driven between a first working position wherein it cooperates with the mandrel (), and a second inactive position wherein it is arranged distant from the mandrel (). The containing element () comprises an annular channel () made in proximity with an outer surface of the mandrel (). The guide and containing device () comprises a groove () which defines an accompanying guide for the metal product () along an outer circumference of the mandrel () towards the annular channel (), when the guide and containing device () is in the first working position.

Device and method for forming coils of rolled or drawn long products

Coiling method and device ('R') for a long product (). The device ('R') comprises a mandrel () with a substantially cylindrical shape and rotating around its own axis, and a containing element () coaxial with the mandrel (), rotating together therewith and defining a front wall () to contain the coil of product () to be formed. The containing element () comprises an annular channel () to clamp the leading end of the product () around the mandrel (). The containing element () is mobile axially with respect to the mandrel () between a first position wherein the leading end of the product () is inserted, and a second position wherein the coil of product () is completed.

Coiling method and device for rolled or drawn long products

A bar speed changing device () comprising a pair of upper rollers () and a pair of lower rollers (). Said device receives a bar section with the rollers () in the open position and rotating at a given speed. Upon leaving the device () said sections are fed into axially arranged peripheral seats () of rotating drum channels. Control devices calculate the speed at which the bar section must be released, upon completion of the braking action, according to the position that said section must occupy in one of said seats and on the basis of the bar-seat friction coefficient. When the rollers () receive the bar, they turn at the calculated release speed. At a predefined moment, such to enable braking in the correct space and time, the four rollers close on the section and exert the braking action, exploiting the dynamic friction between the roller-section.

Bar speed changing device

A device for reeling semi-finished rolled products comprises two sections () connected together to form an articulated arm that guides the product (BL) coming out of a rolling mill onto the reel that is being wound. The second section (), which is closer to the reel, during winding, maintains its own inclination constantly equal to the inclination of the turns of the reel. This enables a considerable reduction of the gap between the adjacent turns and prevention of any overlapping (i.e., climbing on top of one another) between the turns already wound and the turns being distributed on the same layer. Reels that are more compact and have a more precise geometry are thus obtained. Also described is a device () for guiding the rolled product (BL) arriving on the reel with greater precision.

Reeling device for semi-finished rolled products

Plant for packing bars after the rolling cycle comprising a feeding unit, a shear () for cutting the bar to size, a pair of deflector devices (), () and a bar braking device. The bar segment deflector devices send the bar segments into seats () arranged along the perimeters of pairs of rotating cylinders (), (), (), () and parallel to the axis of the cylinder, after making them pass through a bar braking device () to slow the bars down to the predefined speeds. The bars are unloaded from the seats onto conveyors (), (), (), () and transported to a station where they are packed into bundles.
