A process may prepare catalysts advantageously usable in the hydrotreatment processes, for example in hydrodesulfurization, hydrodenitrogenation, hydrodearomatization processes of hydrocarbons. Such catalysts may include mixed oxides of nickel, aluminum, molybdenum, and tungsten and optionally a transition metal Me selected from Zn, Mn, Cd, and a mixture thereof, an organic component C, and possibly an inorganic binder B. The mixed oxides may include an amorphous phase and a pseudo-crystalline phase isostructural to wolframite.

Hydrotreatment catalysts and process for preparing said catalysts

A process of hydrotreating of a feed containing one or more hydrocarbons by contacting the feed with hydrogen in the presence of a metal sulphide catalyst obtained by sulphidation of a precursor which is in the form of a mixed oxide of formula (I) or of a mixed oxide of formula (I) bound to an inorganic binder B: MeNiMoWAlO• pC (I).

There is an absorbent mixture usable for the removal of sour gases from gas mixtures. The mixture has at least one organic base having a pK(in water) less than or equal to 3.2; at least one alcoholic solvent of general formula R(OH)having a boiling temperature above or equal to 100&#xb0; C. at ambient pressure, wherein R is a linear or branched saturated alkyl group having a number of carbon atoms between 2 and 20 and n is a whole number varying between 1 and 20; an aprotic polar solvent having a dielectric constant &#x3b5; at 25&#xb0; C. greater than or equal to 30, a viscosity &#x3bc; at 25&#xb0; C. less than or equal to 14 cP, preferably less than or equal to 12 cP; and a boiling temperature at normal pressure equal to or above 130&#xb0; C. There is also a process for the removal of sour gases using the absorbent mixture.

Removal of sour gases from gas mixtures containing them

The present invention is in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Particularly, the present invention relates to a process for preparing catalysts advantageously usable in the hydrotreatment processes, for example in hydrodesulphurization, hydrodenitrogenation, hydrodearomatization processes of hydrocarbons. More in particular, the present invention relates to a process for obtaining said catalysts, which comprise mixed oxides of Nickel, Aluminum, Molybdenum and Tungsten and optionally a transition metal Me selected from the group consisting of Zn, Mn, Cd, and a mixture thereof, an organic component C, and possibly an inorganic binder B. Said mixed oxides comprise an amorphous phase and a pseudo-crystalline phase isostructural to Wolframite. The present invention further relates to said hydrotreatment catalysts and a hydrotreatment process wherein said catalysts are used.

The invention relates to an integrated process for the production of fuel components starting from materials of a biological origin which comprises: (A) transformation of glycerine into an alkoxy-propanediol having formula RO&#x2014;CH&#x2014;CHOH&#x2014;CHOH, wherein R is a linear or branched C-Calkyl, (B) transformation of glycerine into 1,2-propanediol CH&#x2014;CHOH&#x2014;CHOH, (C) dehydration of the 1,2-propanediol obtained in (B) to propionic aldehyde, (D) reaction of part of the propionic aldehyde obtained in (C) with the alkoxy-propanediol having formula RO&#x2014;CH&#x2014;CHOH&#x2014;CHOH obtained in (A) to give an acetal having formula (a) wherein R is a linear or branched C-Calkyl, (E) transformation of part of the propionic aldehyde obtained in (C) to a propionate having formula CH&#x2014;CH&#x2014;COOR', wherein R&#x2032; is a linear or branched C-Calkyl. Particular components for gasolines and/or diesel are also described.

Integrated process for the preparation of compounds useful as fuel components

A process for the refining of crude oil with at least one atmospheric distillation unit for separating the various fractions, a sub-atmospheric distillation unit, a conversion unit of the heavy fractions obtained, a unit for enhancing the quality of some of the fractions obtained by actions on the chemical composition of their constituents and a unit for the removal of undesired components, where the sub-atmospheric distillation residue is sent to one of the conversion units, the conversion unit includes at least one hydroconversion reactor in slurry phase, into which hydrogen or a mixture of hydrogen and HS, is fed, in the presence of a suitable dispersed hydrogenation catalyst with dimensions ranging from 1 nanometer to 30 microns.

Process for the refining of crude oil

A process for the refining of crude oil, comprising a separation unit of the crude oil, consisting of at least one atmospheric distillation unit for separating the various fractions, a unit for the conversion of the heavy fractions obtained, a unit for improving the quality of some of the fractions obtained by actions on the chemical composition of their constituents, and units for the removal of undesired components, characterized in that the heaviest fraction, the atmospheric distillation residue, is sent to the conversion unit comprising a hydroconversion reactor in slurry phase or of the ebullated bed type, into which hydrogen or a mixture of hydrogen and &#xbe;S is introduced in the presence of a suitable nanodispersed hydrogenation catalyst.

New sulfided metal catalysts are described, containing a metal X selected from Ni, Co and mixtures thereof, a metal Y selected from Mo, W and mixtures thereof, an element Z selected from Si, Al and mixtures thereof, and possibly an organic residue, obtained by the sulfidation of mixed oxide precursors, also new, having general formula (A)XYZOC&#x2003;&#x2003;(A) Said catalysts can be used as hydrotreating catalysts.

Mixed oxides of transition metals, hydrotreatment catalysts obtained therefrom, and preparation process comprising sol-gel processes

Catalytic system which can be used in processes for the hydroconversion of heavy oils by means of hydrotreatment in slurry phase, characterized in that it comprises: a catalyst, having the function of hydrogenating agent, containing MoSor WSor mixtures thereof in lamellar form or an oil-soluble precursor thereof; a co-catalyst, having nanometric or micronic particle-sizes, selected from cracking and/or denitrogenation catalysts. The co-catalyst preferably consists of zeolites having small-sized crystals and with a low aggregation degree between the primary particles, and/or oxides or sulfides or precursors of sulfides of Ni and/or Co in a mixture with Mo and/or W.

Said catalytic system can be used in a process for the hydroconversion of heavy oils which comprises sending the heavy oil to a hydroprocessing step carried out in one or more slurry reactors, in the presence of hydrogen or a mixture of hydrogen and HS, obtaining a stream of products in vapor or liquid-vapor phase, and extracting at the bottom, in continuous or discontinuous, a liquid stream containing non-converted products together with the two catalysts of said catalytic system, said liquid stream extracted then being separated into a clarified primary stream containing the first catalyst, which is at least partially recycled to the hydroprocessing step, and a stream rich in the second catalyst, which is regenerated in a regeneration step and at least partially recycled to the hydroprocessing step.

Catalytic system and process for the total hydroconversion of heavy oils

New sulfided metal catalysts are described, containing a metal X selected from Ni, Co and mixtures thereof, a metal Y selected from Mo, W and mixtures thereof, an element Z selected from Si, Al and mixtures thereof, and possibly an organic residue, obtained by the sulfidation of mixed oxide precursors, also new, having general formula (A) XYZO.pC (A) possibly shaped without a binder, or by sulfidation of mixed oxides having formula (A), in shaped form with a binder, wherein X is selected from Ni, Co and mixtures thereof, Y is selected from Mo, W and mixtures thereof, Z is selected from Si, Al and mixtures thereof, O is oxygen, C is selected from: a nitrogenated compound N, an organic residue deriving from the partial calcination of the nitrogenated compound N, said nitrogenated compound N, when present, being selected from: a) an alkyl ammonium hydroxide having formula (I) RRRRNOH (I) wherein the groups R-R, the same or different, are aliphatic groups containing from 1 to 7 carbon atoms, b) an amine having formula (II) RRRN (II) wherein Ris a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl, containing from 4 to 12 carbon atoms, and Rand R, the same or different, are selected from H and a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl, containing from 4 to 12 carbon atoms, said alkyl being equal to or different from R, a, b, c, d are the number of moles of the elements X, Y, Z, O, respectively, p is the weight percentage of C with respect to the total weight of the precursor having formula (A), a, b, c, d are higher than 0 a/b is higher than or equal to 0.3 and lower than or equal to 2, (a+b)/c is higher than or equal to 0.3 and lower than or equal to 10, preferably varying from 0.8 to 10 d=(2a+6b+Hc)/2 wherein H=4 when Z=Si H=3 when Z=Al and p is higher than or equal to 0 and lower than or equal to 40%. Said catalysts can be used as hydrotreating catalysts.

The present invention relates to new hybrid, organic-inorganic hybrid silicates and metal-silicates characterized by a crystalline structure containing structural units having formula (a), wherein R is an organic group possibly containing one or more element T selected from Group IIIB, IVB, VB and from transition metals. A process starting from cyclic trisilanes for the preparation of said materials, is also described. These materials can be used as molecular sieves, adsorbents, in the field of catalysis, in the field of electronics, in the field of sensors, in the area of nanotechnology. 

Hybrid, organic-inorganic, crystalline, porous silicates and metal-silicates

The cultivation of heterotrophic and phototrophic micro-organisms is integrated for the production of bio-oil for biofuels, wherein the overall algal suspension produced is first thickened, with recirculation of the excess water to cultivation containers, and then thermally treated at a high temperature. After cooling, a bio-oil phase is recovered together with a suspension rich in soluble carbohydrates and proteins which forms a nutritional/energy source for heterotrophic micro-organisms.

Integrated process for the production of bio-oil from micro-organisms

The present invention relates to new organic-inorganic hybrid silicates and metal-silicates called ECS, characterized by an X-ray powder diffraction pattern with reflections exclusively at angular values higher than 4.0&#xb0; of 2&#x3b8;, preferably at angular values higher than 4.7&#xb0;, and an ordered structure containing structural units having formula (a) wherein R is an organic group: Formula (a) and possibly containing one or more elements T selected from groups III B, IV B, V B and transition metals, with a Si/(Si +T) molar ratio in said structure higher than 0.3 and lower than or equal to 1, wherein Si is the silicon contained in the structural unit (a). A process is also described, starting from disilanes, for the preparation of these materials, which does not include the use of templates or surfactants. These materials can be used as molecular sieves, adsorbents, in the field of catalysis, in the field of electronics, in the field of sensors, in the field of nanotechnologies.
