The present invention is directed to a nanoparticle or microparticle for binding to the surface of a cell, wherein the nanoparticle or microparticle comprises (i) multiple different ligand types on its external surface which are capable of binding to different respective receptor types on said cell surface, and (ii) a polymer brush on its external surface. The present invention is further directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising a plurality of nanoparticles or microparticles of the invention, medical uses of such nanoparticles or microparticles, and a vaccine comprising such nanoparticles or microparticles.

Polymersomes functionalised with multiple ligands

The present invention relates to fumarate polymersomes. The polymersomes are capable of targeting immune cells and then hydrolysing to release the immunomodulatory compound fumarate. The polymersomes can thus be used methods for the treatment of prevention of diseases, including immune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and psoriasis.

Fumarate polymersomes

The present invention relates to polymersomes that contain an encapsulated drug and that exhibit chemotaxis in response to a chemical stimulus. The chemotactic polymersomes can be targeted in vivo to a location of therapeutic interest with high specificity and selectivity. The present invention also provides related pharmaceutical compositions and therapeutic methods.

Chemotactic, drug-containing polymersomes

The present invention relates to composition comprising vesicles and associated with the vesicles, a chemical agent, for use in a method of treatment by therapy wherein the chemical agent is delivered trans- and/or intra-epithelially to a human or animal body, wherein the constructs comprise an amphiphilic block copolymer having a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic block. Methods for forming the composition are also provided.

Epithelial delivery

The present invention relates to a medium for storing, preserving, culturing, and/or differentiating stem cells. The medium employs a synthetic thermo-responsive copolymer, dispersed in an aqueous vehicle, which allows the medium to be readily 'switched' between a non-gelatinous (fluid) form and a gelatinous form by simply adjusting temperature across the gelling temperature of the medium. As such, stem cells can be easily captured within a 3D gel matrix by simply mixing the stem cells with the non-gelatinous/fluid form of the medium and then gelling the medium by adjusting the temperature across the gelling temperature of the medium. The stem cells encapsulated within the gelatinous form of the medium may then be preserved for a significant time period before either using the stem cells directly within the medium (e.g. in therapy, or in culturing, differentiation, and such like), or after their extraction from the medium.

The present invention concerns a composition comprising vesicles and encapsulated within the vesicles, an antibody, wherein the vesicles comprise an amphiphilic block copolymer having a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic block. Methods of delivering the above compositions into cells are also described.

Intracellular antibody delivery

The present invention provides a composition comprising vesicles and encapsulated within the vesicles, nucleic acid comprising less than 1000 nucleotides, wherein the vesicles comprise an amphiphilic block copolymer having a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic block. Methods of forming vesicles and methods of delivering nucleic acid, in particular, iRNA into cells, are also provided.
