A bringer gripper for looms without shuttles, where the weft yam is placed in an upper notch and in a gripping organ, particularly suitable for the simultaneous presentation of one or more wefts to the warp inlet and to the taker gripper, in which the upper notch is shaped with a multiple number of throats of different axial length. The weft yarns fit into the bottom of these throats and are essentially offset in the gripper's direction of motion.

Bringer gripper for looms without shuttles

A modular device for weft yarn presentation in a shuttleless loom, operated by linear electric motors which present the yarn by using rods mounted on sliders which rotate to transition the rods from raised standby positions to lowered delivery positions. The linear motors include fixed plates and pivotally mounted sliders, each carrying a rod. The fixed plates are assembled such that the plates angularly diverge from one another from adjacent the pivotal mounting between the sliders and plates and form acute angles therebetween. By using this arrangement, the delivery segment for the yarns is significantly shorter and the angle of presentation of the yarns is substantially narrower.

Modular device for weft yarn presentation in shuttleless looms

A device for weft yarn presentation in a shuttleless loom is operated by linear electric motors. The motors include fixed plates and movable plates pivotally mounted to the fixed plates. Yarn presenting rods are carried by the pivotal plates and rotate from raised stand-by positions to lowered delivery positions. The respective axes of rotation of the pivoted plates are arranged on a line skewed to the path of movement of the gripper so that the weft yarn delivery positions are close together.

A giver gripper for a gripper loom comprising a gripper body having a substantially U-shaped cross section including a base and two laterally spaced side walls, one of the side walls adapted to be closer to an associated loom reed, the laterally spaced side walls each having a forward vertical portion, wherein a forwardmost point of the forward vertical portion of the one of the side walls projecting more forwardly than the other of the forward vertical portions; a cover member located on the gripper body between the laterally spaced side walls, the cover having a forward tip located substantially between the forward vertical portions of the side walls, the forward tip having a height greater than the base of the gripper body and less than the forward vertical portions of the side walls; a gripping member for a weft yarn positioned on the base adjacent of the side walls; a guide and positioning groove for the weft yarn; a deflector for maintaining the weft yarn inclined within the giver gripper; wherein the cover is removably mounted on the gripper body between the one of the side walls and the gripping member, and further wherein the guide and positioning means are provided on one edge of the cover closer to the one of the side walls and the deflector is provided on an opposite edge of the cover closer to the other of the side walls.

A gripper loom tape head including a base, comprising a gripper support crest attached to the tape head, the tape head having a plurality of through fixing holes flared towards the base of the tape head and arranged in two longitudinal rows on one and the other side of a longitudinal axis of the tape head, which comprises two flared holes, of greater diameter than the holes, on the longitudinal axis in proximity to the longitudinal ends of the crest, characterized in that the gripper support crest is prefabricated in any desired material, is provided with a series of through fixing holes in proximity to its lower end, is arranged along the longitudinal axis of the underlying tape head perpendicular to this latter and spaced therefrom by a certain gap, and is maintained in position for all or nearly all its length by a thermoplastic injection-molding material which surrounds most of the prefabricated crest and becomes inserted into the fixing holes of this latter, into the gap between the crest and the tape head and into the flared fixing holes of this latter, including the two larger axial holes.

A guide system for a gripper insertion tape in a shuttleless loom which includes a sley with a reed, through the dents of which pass upper and lower warp yarns forming a shed, at least one insertion tape moving with reciprocating motion between the upper and lower warp yarns of the open shed, a gripper fixed to one end of the tape to convey a weft yarn through the shed, and a plurality of guide teeth fixed spaced apart on the sley and projecting through the lower warp yarns of the shed when the shed is open. The teeth are provided with a bearing and guiding surface for the insertion tape and for the gripper. The bearing and guiding surface of the teeth includes a convex surface which extends in the direction of the warp yarns. A control mechanism is also provided making guiding of the insertion tape and the gripper more effective during travel thereof within the shed.

A fill end catching/clamping system in a fill drive clamp body provided at one end with a hook. A wedge is designed to axially move inside the hook. A wall of the wedge cooperates with a wall of said hook to form a 'V'-shaped hollow in which the fill end is clamped. At least one elastic blade, positioned below the wedge, has a side wall that cooperates with the wall of the hook which forms one side of the 'V'-shaped hollow to assist in retaining the fill end or ends in the 'V'-shaped hollow.

A shuttleless loom weft brake includes at least two braking units arranged in series in the weft yarn travel direction and operating mutually out of phase. Each unit formed from a vertically arranged elastic blade at least partly of ferromagnetic material and a flat support plate of non-magnetic material, between which the weft yarn is made to travel. The blade is fixed to the frame of the weft brake by the end which is closer to the feed bobbin and is preloaded in a direction urging it away from said support plate and against a respective stop pin. The blade is pressed against the support plate by the attraction of an at least one electromagnet of adjustable excitation.

Blade type weft brake for a shuttleless loom

A loom with a leno-weaving device which can act completely within the loom heddle frames, with the two links of the leno-weaving device slidably supported within a slide guide. The slide guide extends from within the heddle frames, and is located above the reed, with the two links driven by a single cam drive and a pair of spring-loaded pushers. The spring-loaded pushers can extend into the heddle frames, and are connected to one end of the links, with the links thus raised and lowered within the heddle frames while being slidingly supported by the slide guide. An advantageous cam drive can also be provided which allows for switching of the mode of the operation, to switch the type of weaving being performed by axially moving a shaft upon which cams of the cam drive are mounted.

Independently driven selvedge forming leno weaving device

A taker gripper for loom use, of the type in which a wedge moves axially within a hook. The weft to be drawn, and which is wedged into the narrow V recess formed on one side between the wedge and the hook, is also maintained elastically pressed against the shallow recess that is provided in the outer lower surface of the hook by an elastic blade. The elastic blade, moreover, is fixed by its rear end to the wedge or to the gripper body. The inner surface of the hook on the side opposite the side that comprises the narrow V recess is formed so that it diverges from the corresponding surface of the wedge and from the direction of wedge axial movement.

A taker gripper for loom use in which the weft is gripped and clamped through the combined action of two weft gripping and clamping members. These members are arranged in series along the path of the weft within the gripper. One of the members is of the elastic type and the other member is of the wedge type.

Each preassembled pack has blades fixed to an auxiliary support and the bladed loom reed is formed by combining the packs on a support base with or without intermediate spacers between packs.

System of detection of a shed closed to passage of a shuttle in a multi-phase weaving textile loom. This invention is comprised of the following: sensitive control bars made elastically movable along the vertical direction, with a stroke at least equalling the vertical shift necessary for the shuttle roller to disengage from the corresponding thrust roller of the dragging chain of the same shuttle; two adjoining sensitive control blades, both are on the rotary-reed facing divergent side wall of each shuttle; the outward blade is fixed and rigid while the longer inward blade is rotatable around a vertical axis; and upon detection of a persistent entanglement by the control blades, a lever pin, kept in a retracted position by a retainer hook, is freed by movement of the retainer hook such that the lever pin springs outwards to protrude from the shuttle plane, pressing upon a sensitive control bar, generating a stop loom signal.
