A package comprises a plastic bag delimiting a seat sealingly housing a product. The plastic bag has plastic film walls () and at least one sealing band connecting together opposed wall portions of the plastic film walls at a connecting zone. A tab is coupled with the connecting zone of the plastic bag. The tab includes an easy opening feature at one or more of its perimeter edges.

An apparatus includes a supplying station to receive a feed roll and to rotate it to unroll consecutive portions of plastic film; and a cutting station to separate, from an unrolled portion of plastic film, either a strip or a plurality of distinct film sheets obtained from a same strip shaped portion. The strip or the strip shaped portion have a width and a length, where the width of said strip shaped portion is larger than the length of the same strip shaped portion. The apparatus also includes a thermoforming station and/or a packaging station.

The rotatable portion comprises a plurality of sub-elements (), with each one of said sub-elements being rotatably connected to an adjacent sub-element and having first opposite side portions and second opposite side portions; each one of the sub-elements () further comprises: one or more first annular features () at each of the first opposite side portions, one or more second annular features () at each the second opposite side portions. The first annular features () of a sub-element mate with the first annular features () or with the second annular features () of an adjacent sub-element forming a coupling seat () located between the two adjacent sub-elements and extending along an axis of rotation; one pin () is inserted in said coupling seat () formed between the two adjacent sub-elements to rotatably connect the two adjacent sub-elements (). It is also disclosed a packaging apparatus using the above conveyor belt.

Conveyor and packaging apparatus provided with said conveyor

A conveyor for a packaging apparatus comprising a conveyor having a conveyor belt () with a rotatable portion () comprising a plurality of sub-elements (). Each one of the sub-elements () comprises first annular features and second annular features. The first annular features of a sub-element mate with the second annular features of an adjacent sub-element forming a coupling seat where a pin is inserted to rotatably connect the two adjacent sub-elements. The rotatable portion () carries driving pieces which are put into motion by a control mechanism such that upon displacement of the conveyor belt () a corresponding rotation by 90&#xb0; or multiples thereof is imparted to the rotatable portion (). A packaging apparatus using the above conveyor belt is also described.

A device () for evacuating gas from a package () in a packaging apparatus, the package () having an open end (), the open end () having a terminal portion (), a non-terminal portion (), and an intermediate portion () located between the terminal portion () and the non-terminal portion () of the open end (), the device () comprising a vacuum chamber () having an elongated opening () extending along a longitudinal axis of the vacuum chamber (), an evacuation means configured for providing the vacuum chamber () with an internal vacuum pressure that is lower than an ambient pressure outside the vacuum chamber (), means for moving () a package () relative to the vacuum chamber (), and a control unit () programmed for controlling the means for moving () to relatively move a package () to be evacuated with respect to the vacuum chamber (), the package () and the means for moving () each being arranged with respect to the vacuum chamber () so that a main movement direction () of packages () placed on the means for moving () and the longitudinal axis of the vacuum chamber () are substantially parallel to one another, the package () to be evacuated being positioned so that, during the relative movement of the package () with respect to the vacuum chamber (), a terminal portion () of the open end () of the package () relatively moves within the vacuum chamber () and a non-terminal portion () of the open end () relatively moves outside the vacuum chamber (), an intermediate portion () of the open end () passing through and relatively moving along the opening (), and activating the evacuation means to provide the vacuum chamber () with the internal vacuum pressure. A packaging process using the gas evacuation device and a packaging apparatus including the device are also disclosed.

Apparatus and process for evacuation of packages

A support includes a central portion configured to receive one or more products, a perimeter band which completely surrounds the central portion, a projection defined at the perimeter band and exhibiting at least one raised portion emerging with respect to the perimeter band and extended away from the central portion. The raised portion includes a through channel crossing the projection and having an access opening which is completely extended at a position spaced from the perimeter band and is configured to enable gas to pass into the through channel through the projection. The central portion and the perimeter band are made of sheet material.

Support, package, apparatus and process for making said support and said package

A packaging apparatus includes a control unit, a loading station that positions a tubular film around a product to be packaged, a sealing station, a control unit that controls the sealing station to create one or more seals on the tubular film, an evacuation assembly that includes a first member and a second member arranged opposite the first member, and a means for moving the product relative to and from the evacuation assembly. The first member includes a deformable portion. The first and second members are relatively movable between: a first configuration, in which the first and second members are spaced apart from one another, a second configuration, in which the deformable portion contacts at least part of the second member and/or part of the tubular film, and a third configuration in which the deformable portion is compressed in a compression direction towards the second member.

It is described an apparatus () for packaging a product (P) comprising: a forming station () configured for receiving a base film () and for forming with it a precursor body () having a plurality of tray-shaped elements () adjacent to each other, and a packaging station () configured for receiving said precursor body () and a closing film (), the packaging station () being configured for attaching the closing film () to the precursor body () at least at an upper opening () of a predetermined number of said tray-shaped elements () for forming packages (C) flanked to each other. A movement device () is configured for moving at least one of said forming () and packaging stations (), for conferring to the precursor body () a step-by-step discontinuous movement along a predetermined advancement path (T). It is also described a packaging process using the apparatus ().

Apparatus and process for packaging products

It is disclosed a plate for a mould station to form a flanged hollow plastic container by shaping a flat billet, the plate comprising a base, a frame, an outer core to form a container of a first size and an inner core to form a container of a second size, smaller than the first size, wherein the frame is integral with the base and wherein the frame defines a frame upper surface; wherein the outer core, in a first configuration, is held elastically with its upper surface flush with the frame upper surface and, in a second molding configuration, is held with its upper surface recessed with respect to the frame upper surface; wherein the inner core, in a first configuration, is held elastically with its upper surface flush with the frame upper surface and, in a second molding configuration, is held with its upper surface recessed with respect to the frame upper surface; and wherein a retention system is provided to retain said billet substantially adhering to at least the upper surface of the inner core.
