A secure element may be coupled to a host and detects a reboot state of the host based on a state of a reset alert signal received from the host. The secure element further generates a reboot flag indicative of a reset operation of the host. Further, the secure element receives an access request from the host to access a plurality of secure functions of the secure element. Based on the access request, the secure element may determine an authorization state between the host and the secure element. The secure element regulates access of the host to the plurality of secure functions based on a status of the reboot flag and the authorization state.

It is described a method, a control device, and a computer program for enabling/disabling at least one near field communication (NFC) function of a mobile device (MD). It is further described such a MD. The method comprises (a) associating the at least one NFC function to be enabled/disabled with a corresponding secure application (SA) installed in a secure element (SE) system; (b) checking whether the SA complies with a predefined secure condition; (c) if the SA complies with the predefined secure condition, transmitting a notification from the SA to the NFC control system (NFCC) via an interface between the SE system and the NFCC; and (d) enabling/disabling, by the NFCC, the at least one NFC function based on information comprised by the transmitted notification.

A method of managing priority in an electronic device, wherein the electronic device comprises a contact-less communication domain and a secure element domain, wherein the contact-less communication domain and the secure element domain are connected via a domain interface, and wherein the secure element domain comprises two or more interfaces. An electronic device and a method for managing an IC card with multiple SIM profiles is described. The electronic device comprises: i) an integrated circuit (IC) card domain, configured to store a first SIM profile and a second SIM profile, and ii) a communication domain coupled to the IC card domain via a physical interface. The IC card domain is configured to: a) generate a first logical interface on the physical interface and associate the first SIM profile with the first logical interface by providing a first logical interface identifier, and b) generate a second logical interface on the physical interface and associate the second SIM profile with the second logical interface by providing a second logical interface identifier. In an embodiment, an NFC IC includes a mobile host processor interface for communicating with a mobile host processor, a wireless interface for communicating with at least one of a contactless card and an external radio frequency (RF) reader, and a single wire protocol (SWP) interface for communicating with a secure element.
