An earthquake-activated shelf security system has two guide rails attached to both sides of a shelf or pallet rack. At least one retainer is moveably constrained to move along the guide rails by a rotating loop located on each end of the retainer. The guide rail has a retainer rest portion and allows the retainer to rest in a prepared configuration without moving down the rail unless acted upon by a shaking event such as an earthquake. A movable backstop may be provided to allow the user to adjust the sensitivity of the system to earthquakes. A mesh net that rolls down may be provided to provide additional security to items being stored on the shelf.

Earthquake-activated shelf security system

An earthquake-activated shelf security system has two guide rails attached to both sides of a shelf or pallet rack. At least one retainer is moveably constrained to move along the guide rails by a rotating loop located on each end of the retainer. The guide rail has a retainer rest portion and allows the retainer to rest in a prepared configuration without moving down the rail unless acted upon by a shaking event such as an earthquake. A movable backstop is located along a back portion of the retainer rest portion. The position of the rest stop can be adjusted to adjust the sensitivity of the system to earthquakes. The guide rails have retainer stops located at selected positions to keep the retainer from moving past. In one embodiment two retainers are provided and in another embodiment, a mesh is provided to contain items that would otherwise fall through.

Spill resistant dishware which has a bottom annular edge with this bottom annular edge adapted to rest on a supporting surface. A low tack adhesive is applied to the bottom annular edge. This dishware is capable of being fixed in position on the supporting surface by the adhesive with said dishware to remain in this position even during breezy conditions. However, the adhesive permits easy disengagement of the dish and resecurement of the dish on the supporting surface. This dishware's novel design allows the dishware to be stacked one upon the other without any adhesive coming into contact with the food or liquid holding compartments of the underlying dishware, without the need for adhesive liners.

Automotive plug in accessory mount

An apparatus for use in combination with vehicular cigarette lighter sockets, wherein the apparatus includes a cylindrical base including spring biased clip members to retain the cylindrical base within the cigarette lighter socket. The base is secured to a generaaly 'Z' shaped link to define an offset forward leg mounting a first head rotatably mounted to a second head, wherein the second head is in turn mounted to a third head and the third head mounted to a fourth head, the fourth head mounting a support plate thereon, wherein the support plate includes a generally trapezoidal slot to receive trapezoidal flanges of accessories of the organization to include a cup, a clip board organization, and a tray assembly.

Vehicular accessory mounting organization

An automotive accessory mount is set forth for use in combination with an automotive cigarette lighter receptacle. The apparatus includes an enlarged, cylindrical base of a configuration complementary to that defined by the cigarette lighter receptacle. A metallic core extends from interiorly of the polymeric base to a shank provided with an orthogonally oriented clip member. The clip member defines a generally 'U' shaped slot for receiving a complementary tab in a sliding relationship of an accessory support utilized with the tab. The accessories include an insulated cup holder, a map holder, and a tray, each selectively receivable within the 'U' shaped slot. The metallic shank may be pivotally mounted to accommodate cigarette lighter receptacles of non-horizontal alignment relative to an associated dash of the automotive vehicle.
