Apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed that operate to receiving an authentication request at a server associated with an authenticating entity from a requesting party responsive to a request being provided to the requesting party by a client terminal associated with an unauthenticated individual purporting to be an individual account owner previously authenticated with the authenticating entity. A token from the client terminal associated with the unauthenticated individual is received, and the token includes information associated with the unauthenticated individual and a user permission authorizing the authenticating entity to share a selected portion of the information with a plurality of selected requesting parties. The server associated with the authenticating entity authenticates the unauthenticated individual as the individual account owner based on, inter alia, matching the token to a pre-registered identity uniquely associated with the individual account owner. Unified identity verification

Disclosed herein are methods and systems for multi-platform authentication of electronic devices. One method involves a processor monitoring data related to the execution of an initial authentication request for a user via a first electronic platform. Subsequently, the processor receives, via the first platform, a request to complete a second authentication request by a second electronic platform, which corresponds to a multi-factor authentication. Upon receiving a first factor authentication purportedly authenticating the identity of the user, the processor generates second factor authentication information based on the monitored data. A message containing both first and second factor authentication details is then generated and transmitted to the second electronic platform. Upon receiving a positive authentication result from the second electronic platform, confirming the user's identity authentication.

Methods and systems for multi-factor authentication

A method and apparatus for reconciling electronic transactions facilitated by a commerce platform are described. The method may include receiving, the commerce platform, requests from a merchant system to authorize a plurality of financial transactions. The method may also include transmitting an authorization to the merchant system authorizing the merchant system to perform the financial transaction. The authorization may include a unique transaction identification (ID) corresponding to the request. The method may also include receiving from the merchant system, for each transaction ID, an order number associated with the transaction ID. The method may also include generating a settlement file comprising the transaction IDs. Each transaction ID may be arranged in an order in the settlement file according to its associated order number. The method may also include transmitting the settlement file to the merchant device.

A card number and an address are requested from a customer at a POS device. An AVS system compares the customer-provided address against a billing address or record for the card that is maintained by a card issuer. If the address provided by the customer matches the billing address of record, a second card number is requested from customer. That second card number is sent to the AVS system and the billing address stored by the issuer for the second card number is also checked against the address provided by the customer.

System and method of cardholder verification

An automatic teller machine (ATM) can operate to send an electronic push request, in various instances, using only an email address to process the push request from a user. The ATM may be configured with customized display software, for example, that allows an end user to operate a touchscreen (or other input mechanism) to enter email addresses for one or more electronic transfer destinations. In various instances, the ATM may also communicate with a back-end server to perform queries on an entered email address and to map the email address to a pre-existing account or a holding account. Thus, a user can effectuate electronic transfers without needing to know, for example, a routing number associated with a destination for the transfer, representing an innovative improvement over previous electronic transfer technology.

Apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed that operate to register one time, at a server associated with an authenticating entity, information comprising an identity uniquely associated with an individual account owner and an account held by the authenticating entity. Further activity includes receiving an authentication request at the server from a requesting party to authenticate an unauthenticated individual purporting to be the individual account owner, and authenticating, by the server, the unauthenticated individual as the individual account owner by matching a token presented by the unauthenticated individual, to the identity. Responsive solely to the authenticating, only a selected portion of the information previously authorized by the individual account owner is provided for sharing with the plurality of selected requesting parties. Apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed that operate to register one time, at a financial entity, information comprising an identity uniquely associated with an individual having a financial account held by the financial entity. Additional actions include receiving a request at the financial entity from a requesting party to authenticate a customer purporting to be the individual, authenticating, by the financial entity, the customer as the individual by matching a token presented by the customer to the identity uniquely associated with the individual, and providing to the requesting party a previously-authorized portion of a profile associated with the individual.
