Context data may be received corresponding to a first communication session that includes a first user and a second user that joins the first communication session on behalf of a customer account. The context data may be provided to the first user and the second user. The context data may be stored in a searchable data storage that stores a communication session context history for the customer account. Search requests may be received, from the customer account, for searching the communication session context history. Responses may be provided based at least part on the context data. The context data may include second session information for joining a second communication session between the first user and the second user. Requests to join the second communication session may be received based on the second session information, and the second communication session may be established between the first user and the second user.

A codec system dynamically selects a codec from multiple available codecs with a highest level of encoding quality at a computing device based at least in part on the available computing resources at a particular computing device. The codec system can continuously monitor encoding performance and if encoding with the selected codec uses too many computing resources, then the codec system can switch to a codec that uses fewer computing resources.

The metric for using the media conferencing service is output.

Implementations for combining at least two video streams received from devices of a plurality of participants of a video conference into a composite video stream are described. A video conference including the video streams received from the devices of the plurality of participants is established. A capability associated with consuming at least two of the video streams is received from at least one of the devices. The at least two video streams are then combined into a composite video stream based on the capability associated with consuming the at least two video streams. The composite video stream is transmitted to the at least one of the devices.
