This disclosure illustrates a wearable detection device, configured to detect vibrations due to the impact of fingers against an object and/or to the sliding of fingertips on a rough surface thereof. The detection device comprises an elastically deformable annular band defining a lower part, configured to remain exposed and be placed in direct contact with an object to be touched and with a user's finger, and an upper part configured to remain in an internal compartment of the detection device; a rigid support fixed to the upper part of the band and placed outside it; a microprocessor electronic board fixed to the rigid support and having at least one vibration sensor which senses vibrations transmitted to the electronic board; a rigid body comprising a front cover and a rear cover that can be hooked together to define the internal compartment and at least a rigid curved surface configured to be placed in direct contact with the user's finger, in which the front cover and the rear cover, when coupled together, enclose in the internal compartment the upper part of the annular band, the electronic board and the rigid support, the latter remaining in contact with an internal face of the rigid body.

Sensing device suitable for haptic perception applications

Device () for applying haptic stimuli to a body part () of a user, comprising a stiff support () configured to contact the body part; a containing element configured to keep the body part () in contact with the stiff support (); an actuating element configured to push the stiff support () into the containing element and apply a pressure to the body part. The containing element comprises a stiff frame () defining a recess () to house the body part. The frame () comprises two lateral stiff guides () defining the recess () and the stiff support () is configured to move in a guided manner in the stiff guides (). At least one servomotor (') is provided connected integrally to the stiff frame () on the opposite side to the stiff support () with respect to the recess () and arranged to cause a relative movement, inside the recess () and with respect to the lateral stiff rails (), of the stiff support () with respect to the body part (). At least one belt (&#x2032;) sliding parallel to the lateral stiff rails () and connected respectively with the servomotor () and the stiff support () is provided. The servomotor () is configured to operate the or each belt (&#x2032;) to cause guided movement in the stiff guides () of the stiff support ().

Haptic ring

A device for enhancing a user's grasping capability comprises a belt-like support configured to be tightly fitted about a user's part of the body; an articulated gripping element having a plurality of phalanxes: proximal, fixed to the support, intermediate and distal, which are articulated to each other by articular joints; a motor unit fixed to the support; a winding drum; a tendon partially wound on the drum and extending along the phalanxes and the joints, arranged so that, by pulling it from the drum, the phalanxes rotate about respective articular joints and move the articulated gripping element from an extended position to a gripping bow-shaped position, causing a flexion/extension movement of the articulated gripping element, the joints configured so that by releasing the tendon from the drum, the phalanxes rotate about the respective joints and move the articulated gripping element between gripping bow-shaped position and extended position.
