A lighting module may include a lighting band with a band-shaped flexible substrate, wherein at least one semiconductor light source is applied to a top side of the substrate, wherein the lighting module is faced with a protective layer such that at least one emission area of the at least one semiconductor light source is exposed thereby.

Lighting module

A housing for electrical components is provided. The housing may include a mouth portion to cooperate with a circuit board in an assembled condition wherein said circuit board is applied against said mouth portion of the housing. The housing may include at least one spring formation located at said mouth portion to cooperate with said circuit board to elastically urge said circuit board away from said mouth portion, and at least one hook-like formation extending from said mouth portion distally of said housing, said hook-like formation adapted to cooperate with said circuit board to retain said circuit board assembled to said housing against the force exerted by said spring formation.

A lighting module includes a base plate for fixing to a mounting surface, and a reflector body carrying a printed circuit board with one or more electrical light sources such as high power LEDs. The printed circuit board (includes electrical contact pins to the electrical light sources. The base plate and the reflector body are provided with complementary coupling formations for snap-like coupling the base plate and the reflector body with an electrical line interposed in between for feeding the light sources with the electrical contact pins electrically contacting the electrical line. The module may include force-generating formations to urge the printed circuit board against the base plate to promote heat transfer in between.

The lighting device has a stack of functional layers that in turn have at least: an optics layer with at least one optical element; a light source layer with at least one light source that is adapted to radiate light through the optics layer to an exterior; a printed circuit board connected to an electronic driver to drive the lighting device; and a cooling layer with at least one cooling element for cooling at least the at least one light source.

A cooling apparatus has a heat sink thermally connectable to a heat source an air outlet opening at least two air intake openings, and a fan adapted to draw in air into the cooling apparatus through the air intake openings and to discharge the air from the cooling apparatus through the air outlet opening, wherein, upon operation of said fan, an air flow from at least one of the air intake openings forces an air flow from at least another one of the air intake openings to the heat sink.

Cooling apparatus

A driver arrangement for LED light sources includes a transformer having primary and secondary winding connections. A first electronic switch (SW) controls current flow through the primary winding, and a sensing resistor is coupled to the primary winding to produce a current sensing signal. A second electronic switch (SW) is sensitive to the sensing signal to switch off SWas current flow through the primary winding reaches a given threshold. SWis thus alternatively turned-on and off in alternating turn-on and switch-off phases to power the LED light source via the secondary winding. SWis a field effect transistor, preferably a MOSFET. The transformer is SELV-rated. The sensing resistor may be a variable resistor to adjust the duration of the on/off phases to permit controlled dimming.

Driver arrangement for LED lamps

A semiconductor lamp having a light-emitting semiconductor device, the semiconductor device comprising a carrier and at least one light-emitting semiconductor component on the carrier, and a heatsink. The heatsink has a first main face, the semiconductor device is located adjacent to the first main face, and the carrier faces the first main face. The semiconductor device is thermally coupled to the heatsink, and the heatsink has at least one feedthrough for electrical connection of the semiconductor device.

A LED lighting arrangement includes a support body having mounted thereon one or more LED lighting sources and a driver or feeding the LED lighting sources. The support body includes a high-voltage section carrying the driver and a low-voltage section carrying, mounted on a heat sink, the light sources. An insulation barrier is provided between the high voltage section and the low-voltage section of the board with a twisted pair forming a wiring that traverses the insulation barrier to connect the driver and the LED lighting sources.
