A mechanism for varying the relative angular velocity of two shafts (31,32) in a proportionally continuous manner is described. The main feature of this mechanism is to comprise, between said two shafts (31,32), a transmission unit (12) comprising at least one plurality of members (19, 20) rotating about an axis, each of said members (19, 20) being able to establish a connection engagement between one of said two shafts (31,32) and a rotating element (13,14) over a limited extent of rotation of said shaft, the distance of said members from the axis of said one of said two shafts or of said rotating element, when in said connection engagement position, being able to be varied by adjustment means (7) in order to vary the relative angular velocity of said two shafts in a proportionally continuous manner.

A device for adjusting the relative position of two parts is described. The device comprises an adjustment pin supported by a first of said two parts and has an eccentric portion on which is mounted a toothed wheel engaging partially with toothing pertaining to the other of said two parts. The number of teeth on said toothed wheel and on said toothing differs by at least one, between said toothed wheel and said first of said parts or a third part rigid therewith there is provided a mutual coupling between at least one plurality of pegs and a corresponding plurality of bores of greater diameter than the diameter of the relative pegs and pertaining respectively to said first of said two parts and to said toothed wheel or vice versa. The main feature of this device is that said other of said two parts is laterally enclosed between said first of said two part and a third part rigid therewith, such that its movement along the axis of said pin is limited.

Device for adjusting the relative position of two parts

A lock for motor vehicle doors is described. The lock comprises a striker member arranged for engagement and disengagement by means comprised in a mechanism of said lock, the mechanism is supported by a first plate, and the striker member and means are disposed on a part fixed relative to the door and on the door respectively, or vice versa. The main feature of this lock is that said means comprise at least one pair of engagement members for said striker which are rotatable on pins, and the disengagement load exerted between said member and said means is opposed only by component forces passing substantially through the axis of said pins.

A container for air filters adapted to selectively house one or the other of at least two different primary filter elements having different diameters and different lengths, the container having a cylindrical body closed at one end by a fixed cap and closed at its opposite end by a removable cap, an air inlet in the container body and a centrally disposed air outlet in the fixed cap, the fixed cap being provided with a plurality of concentric annular sealing surfaces surrounding the air outlet, each such surface forming a seat for a different size primary filter element, centering means being provided to center each different primary filter element in the container, together with adjustable means for securing each different primary filter element in the container with its end in sealing contact with the corresponding sealing surface, provision being made for a secondary filter element.
