A disc brake rotor has a support hub and coaxial braking band. The support hub has a plurality of radial seats and the braking band has a plurality of connecting elements which transfer torque between the band and the hub. The connecting elements are integral and made as one piece with the braking band and extend from the braking band in order to engage the corresponding radial seats. The connecting elements are surrounded by walls which are integral and made as one piece with the support hub such as to be fastened in the axial direction and in the tangential direction, but capable of sliding in the radial direction.

Disc for a disc brake

The present invention relates to a method for making a brake disc comprising the following operating steps: a) providing a brake disc, comprising a braking bandmade of aluminum or aluminum alloy and provided with two opposite braking surfaces, each of which at least partially defines one of the two main sides of the disc; b) depositing a material in particle form on the disc with HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) technique or with HVAF (High Velocity Air Fuel) technique or with KM (Kinetic Metallization) technique, forming a protective coatingwhich covers at least one of the two braking surfaces of the braking band. The material in particle form is composed of 80 to 90% by weight of tungsten carbide, 8% to 12% by weight of cobalt and 2% to 6% by weight of chromium.

Method for making a brake disc, brake disc for disc brake and a disc brake

A brake band () is in a first material suitable for the braking action and has at least one extension () for coupling to a bell (), suitable for coupling the disc () to a hub of a vehicle; said coupling extension being a single piece with said brake band and forming a geometric coupling with said bell to transmit the braking action; said geometric coupling being obtained by fusion preferably of the bell on the brake band, said bell being in a second material, the first and second material having a different melting point; said geometric coupling having, circumferentially spaced, first teeth, that axially extend to be tightly received in first axial seats () of the bell; wherein said geometric coupling has circumferentially spaced eighth teeth of the band that radially extend circumferentially offset with respect to said first axial teeth () and are suitable for being tightly received in eighth radial seats () present in the bell.

Disc for disc brakes

A brake disc of a rotation axis, comprising a support carrier, a braking band comprising two flanges connected by a plurality of connection elements which define ventilation channels for the braking band, at least one drive element able to connect the support carrier and the braking band to each other. The connection elements have a variable resistant section in an axial direction parallel to the rotation axis, the resistant section being measured in an area substantially parallel to the direction of the air flow inside the ventilation channels. Such resistant section progressively increasing as it moves from a median resistant section towards the respective connection resistant sections of the connection element to the flanges.

Brake pad and caliper for a disc brake

A caliper for a disc-brake includes two side walls at a distance from each other which delimit a space to accommodate a portion of a brake disc. The side walls are connected to each other by a connecting structure which straddles the disc space. Each of the side walls delimits at least one seating capable of accommodating a pad. The caliper comprises a thrust to clamp the pads against the brake disc. The thrust is secured to the side walls in such a way that the side walls absorb the entire clamping force and the seatings are capable of securing the pads so that the side walls also absorb the entire braking moment. The connecting structure comprises arc-shaped shells, connected so as to be integral with both the side walls. The slenderness of the shells expressed as the ratio of thickness to circumferential extension relative to an axis of rotation of the brake disc is less than 17/100.

Caliper for a disk-brake

A support bracket for a disk brake of the type having a floating caliper comprises securing means for securing the support bracket to the suspension of a vehicle, and support means suitable for slidably supporting a sliding caliper body. The support bracket comprises an inner wall facing the inside of the vehicle and an outer wall opposite the inner wall and spaced therefrom. The inner wall and the outer wall are fixedly joined and arranged one on each side of a disk plane and delimit a space for accommodating a portion of a brake disk. Each of the inner wall and the outer wall forms two pad seats for accommodating pads.

High performance disk brake

In a composite disc for heavy-vehicle disc brakes, an annular braking band comprises at least two portions which are divided along at least one axial separation plane defining, on these portions, respective pairs of flat surfaces which can be arranged face to face in pairs. Radially-oriented, calibrated, semicylindrical cavities are formed in the flat coupling surfaces in order to define cylindrical seats for housing corresponding calibrated locating pins after the assembly of the portions of the band. This solution ensures precise axial alignment between the braking surfaces of the portions of the band.

A wheel support for providing a connection, rotatable about an axis (S), between a wheel of a vehicle which can be braked by a disk brake and the stub axle () of the vehicle comprises a bell () suitable for supporting a braking band () and a connection flange () for the connection of the vehicle wheel. The bell () and the connection flange () are formed integrally, constituting a single body () which can be connected rotatably and releasably to the stub axle () of the vehicle.
