Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to transmit feedback information via a configurable quantity of interlaced resource blocks (IRBs) in one or more interlaces of a sidelink feedback channel. For example, the UE may transmit feedback via multiple IRBs of an interlace. The UE may determine which IRBs to use in accordance with a configuration, which may indicate a quantity of IRBs, a distribution of the IRBs, a pattern of the IRBs, or any combination thereof. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine to transmit feedback via multiple IRBs of an interlace that is different from a common interlace.

Sidelink feedback for increased capacity

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for receiver-assisted channel access in shared radio frequency spectrum. A receiver, such as a user equipment (UE) may transmit a measurement report to a transmitter, such as an access network entity, that indicates channel occupancy as measured at the receiver. In some cases, the receiver may identify resources for signal measurement and reporting that are configured by the transmitter, and provide an interference measurement report based on the signal measurements. The interference measurement report may indicate whether a channel is occupied, or an occupancy level of the channel. Resources may be configured for multiple beams, with the interference measurement report including interference measurements for the multiple beams. Further, the signal resources may provide resources for a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, through signal resource sets that span multiple slots.

Techniques for interference measurement reporting for receiver-assisted channel access

Systems, devices, and methods for mapping wideband sidelink (SL) resources to SL feedback resources are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) comprises: receiving, based on at least a first interlace of resource blocks (RBs) and based on two or more RB-sets of a shared frequency band, a SL communication; and transmitting, using at least a second interlace of RBs and using resources from at least one RB-set of the two or more RB-sets of the shared frequency band, a SL feedback communication for the SL communication. In some aspects, the transmitting the SL feedback communication is based on a mapping of the two or more RB-sets to the at least one RB-set.

Interlaced physical sidelink feedback channel mapping for wideband sidelink transmissions

Wireless communications systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a first sidelink user equipment (UE) may include receiving, from a second sidelink UE, a configuration associated with multiplexing a first physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) having a first format with a second PSFCH having a second format, wherein the second format is different from the first format, receiving, from the second sidelink UE, one or more transport blocks (TBs), and transmitting, to the second sidelink UE based on the configuration, an acknowledgement/negative-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) associated with the one or more TBs via the first PSFCH multiplexed with the second PSFCH.

Multiplexing physical sidelink feedback channels in sidelink communication

A method of wireless communication performed by a first sidelink user equipment (UE) includes performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure and transmitting, to a second sidelink UE based on the LBT procedure being successful, a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) in one of a plurality of candidate S-SSB locations of a slot.

Sidelink synchronization signal block patterns for multiple listen-before-talk opportunities

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to identify a channel occupancy time (COT). The COT may include some slots for transmitting a sidelink message and some sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) slots for transmitting S-SSBs. In some examples, to fill a gap created by the S-SSB slots within the COT and thus maintain the COT across the S-SSB slots, the first UE or the second UE may transmit some signaling to provide transmissions in the S-SSB slots. For example, the first UE may transmit a padding signal, the second UE may transmit S-SSBs, or the UEs may use a gap control procedure. Upon filling the gap, the first UE may transmit a sidelink message to the second UE in slots of the COT excluding the S-SSB slots.

Maintaining channel occupancy time across sidelink synchronization signal block slots in unlicensed sidelink

A method of wireless communication performed by a first wireless communication device may maintain a channel occupancy time (COT) in a shared frequency band during at least one physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) instance. In some aspects, the method includes transmitting, in a first portion of a COT based on a listen-before talk (LBT), a first sidelink (SL) communication comprising SL communication information (SCI), the SCI indicating a second wireless communication device to transmit a signal in at least one gap symbol preceding a PSFCH resource. The method further includes receiving, from the second wireless communication device, the signal during the at least one gap symbol. The method further includes transmitting, in a second portion of the COT based on the LBT, a second SL communication, wherein the second portion of the COT is subsequent to the PSFCH resource.

Channel occupancy time (COT) maintenance for sidelink communications in unlicensed bands

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, while operating in a discontinuous reception mode, a grant scheduling a sidelink data message for the UE over a shared radio frequency spectrum band, the grant indicating a set of feedback channel occasions associated with the sidelink data message. The UE may transmit at least one feedback message indicating a feedback status of the sidelink data message during at least one feedback channel occasion of the set of feedback channel occasions. The UE may initiate, based at least in part on the at least one feedback channel occasion, a round-trip timer associated with the at least one feedback message during which the UE suppresses monitoring for a retransmission of the sidelink data message.

Discontinuous reception enhancement with multiple sidelink feedback channel opportunities

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive an inter-UE coordination request message from a second UE, the inter-UE coordination request message identifying a request for resource scheduling information for the first UE, the second UE, or both. The first UE may transmit an inter-UE coordination response message comprising the scheduling information to the second UE, the scheduling information comprising an indication of one or more of a resource block set and interlacing pattern frequency configuration for multi-slot burst communications between the first UE and the second UE or a starting slot and slot burst length configuration for the multi-slot burst communications between the first UE and the second UE.

Divergence statistical approach for narrow beam-based channel access

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support a slot transmission detection procedure for sidelink communications. A sidelink user equipment may monitor, during a slot and within one or more subbands, for signaling associated with a first sidelink transmission that corresponds to resources that span a duration of the slot. The signaling may include sidelink control information, a demodulation reference signal, or other sidelink signaling associated with the first sidelink transmission. The user equipment may determine a signal strength or one or more other parameters associated with the signaling. The user equipment may determine whether to transmit a second sidelink transmission having a duration that is less than a first duration of the first sidelink transmission based on the signal strength, the one or more parameters, or both associated with the signaling.

Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first user equipment (UE). Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for user equipment (UE) in sidelink communications to agree on transmission directions and a traffic pattern for a sidelink channel, where a transmitting UE has higher priority in channel access than a receiving UE. When establishing a connection via sidelink, two or more UEs may agree on a resource pattern for a set of sidelink resources where a first UE has higher priority than a second UE for a first subset of resources. The first UE may be given higher priority in the first subset of resources through adjustments to a channel access procedure for requesting channel access, adjustments to one or more access thresholds or channel access priority classes, contention window adjustments, or any combinations thereof. Layer one signaling may be used to reconfigure channel access priority and the traffic pattern between UEs.

Coordinated channel access techniques for sidelink communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support management of network-configured sensing bandwidths in a wireless communication system. In particular aspects, a network configures a sensing bandwidth, and the sensing bandwidth configuration is signaled to a contending node. The contending node (e.g., a UE or a base station) performs a medium sensing procedure (e.g., a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure) using the signaled configuration of the sensing bandwidth. Aspects of this disclosure provide various techniques for signaling the configuration of the sensing bandwidth to the contending node.
