A method of wireless communication performed by a first wireless communication device may maintain a channel occupancy time (COT) in a shared frequency band during at least one physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) instance. In some aspects, the method includes transmitting, in a first portion of a COT based on a listen-before talk (LBT), a first sidelink (SL) communication comprising SL communication information (SCI), the SCI indicating a second wireless communication device to transmit a signal in at least one gap symbol preceding a PSFCH resource. The method further includes receiving, from the second wireless communication device, the signal during the at least one gap symbol. The method further includes transmitting, in a second portion of the COT based on the LBT, a second SL communication, wherein the second portion of the COT is subsequent to the PSFCH resource.

Channel occupancy time (COT) maintenance for sidelink communications in unlicensed bands

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, while operating in a discontinuous reception mode, a grant scheduling a sidelink data message for the UE over a shared radio frequency spectrum band, the grant indicating a set of feedback channel occasions associated with the sidelink data message. The UE may transmit at least one feedback message indicating a feedback status of the sidelink data message during at least one feedback channel occasion of the set of feedback channel occasions. The UE may initiate, based at least in part on the at least one feedback channel occasion, a round-trip timer associated with the at least one feedback message during which the UE suppresses monitoring for a retransmission of the sidelink data message.

Discontinuous reception enhancement with multiple sidelink feedback channel opportunities

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive an inter-UE coordination request message from a second UE, the inter-UE coordination request message identifying a request for resource scheduling information for the first UE, the second UE, or both. The first UE may transmit an inter-UE coordination response message comprising the scheduling information to the second UE, the scheduling information comprising an indication of one or more of a resource block set and interlacing pattern frequency configuration for multi-slot burst communications between the first UE and the second UE or a starting slot and slot burst length configuration for the multi-slot burst communications between the first UE and the second UE.

Divergence statistical approach for narrow beam-based channel access

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support a slot transmission detection procedure for sidelink communications. A sidelink user equipment may monitor, during a slot and within one or more subbands, for signaling associated with a first sidelink transmission that corresponds to resources that span a duration of the slot. The signaling may include sidelink control information, a demodulation reference signal, or other sidelink signaling associated with the first sidelink transmission. The user equipment may determine a signal strength or one or more other parameters associated with the signaling. The user equipment may determine whether to transmit a second sidelink transmission having a duration that is less than a first duration of the first sidelink transmission based on the signal strength, the one or more parameters, or both associated with the signaling.

Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first user equipment (UE). Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for user equipment (UE) in sidelink communications to agree on transmission directions and a traffic pattern for a sidelink channel, where a transmitting UE has higher priority in channel access than a receiving UE. When establishing a connection via sidelink, two or more UEs may agree on a resource pattern for a set of sidelink resources where a first UE has higher priority than a second UE for a first subset of resources. The first UE may be given higher priority in the first subset of resources through adjustments to a channel access procedure for requesting channel access, adjustments to one or more access thresholds or channel access priority classes, contention window adjustments, or any combinations thereof. Layer one signaling may be used to reconfigure channel access priority and the traffic pattern between UEs.

Coordinated channel access techniques for sidelink communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support management of network-configured sensing bandwidths in a wireless communication system. In particular aspects, a network configures a sensing bandwidth, and the sensing bandwidth configuration is signaled to a contending node. The contending node (e.g., a UE or a base station) performs a medium sensing procedure (e.g., a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure) using the signaled configuration of the sensing bandwidth. Aspects of this disclosure provide various techniques for signaling the configuration of the sensing bandwidth to the contending node.

Network configured sensing bandwidth and channel occupancy time (COT) sharing

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for sidelink channel access via a floating channel occupancy. In some aspects, a cellular device may operate within a proximity of one or more wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) devices and may conditionally support a search space associated with a floating sidelink synchronization signal block (SSB). For example, if the cellular device detects that the Wi-Fi devices are precluding the cellular device from acquiring channel access or otherwise making it relatively more difficult for the cellular device to acquire channel access, the cellular device may enable or active a use of the search space associated with the floating sidelink SSB. If enabled or activated, the cellular device may transmit a floating sidelink SSB within the search space independent of slot boundaries upon a successful listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support communications across a wideband, a base station and user equipment (UE) may communicate across the wideband using a set of sub-bands that span the carrier bandwidth (e.g., the wideband). In some cases, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of a capability of the UE to communicate a wideband communication with the base station via the set of sub-band based communications with the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station (and, in some cases based on the capability of the UE), a configuration for communicating with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using the set of sub-bands. Then, the UE may communicate with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using one or more of the set of sub-bands in accordance with the configuration.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitting node may perform a directional listen-before-talk (LBT) using a sensing beam. The transmitting node may start a channel occupancy time (COT) after the directional LBT based at least in part on one of a COT claiming signal or a time stamp. The transmitting node may perform, to a receiving node, one or more transmissions during the COT using one or more transmit beams that are included in the sensing beam. A method of wireless communication includes performing, by a user equipment (UE), a scan in connection with a listen-before-transmit (LBT) operation. A sensing bandwidth associated with the scan is selected by the UE based at least in part on a transmission bandwidth of an uplink transmission, and at least a portion of the sensing bandwidth is included an unlicensed frequency spectrum. The method further includes transmitting, by the UE, the uplink transmission based on a result of the scan.

A first wireless communication device may perform in a shared radio frequency band during a first portion of a frame period, a first listen-before-talk (LBT) using a first beam characteristic.
