The invention relates to a light treatment system. The light treatment system comprises a light source for emitting light for illuminating a part of a human or animal body for light treatment. The light treatment system further comprises a housing for emitting light towards the part of the human or animal body, and for at least partially covering the illuminated part of the human or animal body from view. The housing further comprises a window for emitting light from an inner part of the housing away from the housing.

Light treatment system

A flexible light therapy device, a bandage and a plaster for providing a therapeutic effect to a treatment target area () of a living being are provided. The flexible light therapy device comprises a light source () for emitting light (), a light transmitting element () and a heat management means (). The light transmitting element () is of a flexible light transmitting material and is optically coupled to the light source (). The light transmitting element () comprises a light exit window () to emit the light () towards the treatment target area (). The heat management means () is thermally coupled to the treatment target area () and distributes heat and controls the distribution of heat across the treatment target area (). Part of the distributed heat may originate from the light source ().

Flexible light therapy device, a plaster and a bandage

The present invention relates to a skin radiation apparatus and method. The apparatus includes a photon radiation unit for generating a line-shaped radiation pattern that extends in a first direction; a movement facility for moving the line shaped radiation pattern in a second direction transverse to the first direction; a detection unit for detecting a skin condition profile; and a control unit for controlling the line-shaped radiation pattern, dependent on the detected skin condition profile.

Methods and apparatus for control of illumination in an interior space

The invention relates to a skin treatment device, a lamp for use in such a skin treatment device, and its use. The skin treatment device according to the invention uses a combination of tanning-effective and/or anti-acne effective amounts of blue light in the spectral range from 400-440 nm in addition to the UV-light known in the art. An important advantage is that a lower UV dose can be used, leading to lower health risks, while the exposure times can be kept within acceptable limits, without compromising the skin treatment result.
