The device serves for the end face, angularly true driving of a pre-toothed workpiece ( ) clamped between work centers by the rotating work spindle ( ) of a tooth flank grinding machine. It takes place by means of a wobble plate ( ) connected without play to the work spindle by way of the work arbor ( ), the intermediate disc ( ) and the cylindrical steel rollers ( ), the surface of which said wobble plate which contacts the workpiece end face ( ) being according to the invention coated with galvanically bonded hard material grains ( ).

Device for the end face driving of toothed workpieces

The device according to the invention for the tailstock end centering and clamping of a rotational workpiece with a circular-cylindrical end comprises a housing with a shank for accommodation in a tailstock barrel, and a chucking pot with a collet located in the housing for rotation about the axis of rotation of the workpiece. In accordance with the invention the collet is closable by way of the axial advancing action of the tailstock, and the axial tailstock thrust effecting the closing and clamping of the collet is transmitted to the workpiece in such manner that it is applied to the center of the workpiece, and the latter is displaceable into the center without friction generating radial sliding of the collet.

A radius-forming dressing roll (,) having a frustoconical working region (,) and an adjoining concave-toroidal working region (,) is mounted on the dressing spindle (,) coaxially to a dressing disc (,). In a first step, the flanks (,) of the grinding-worm thread are profiled with the disc (,). After the dressing spindle (,) has been pivoted, the two tip radii (,) and the cylindrical outer circumference (,) are profiled with the dressing roll (,).
