A pair of spectacles having bio-sensors for detecting signals in contact with a user's head includes a front frame for lenses and a nose support device which is provided on the frame, the nose support device includes a mount made of an electrically non-conductive material and which can be removably connected to the frame, the mount having first and second nose support elements thereon, and which incorporate first and second nose sensors, formed from an electrically conductive material, capable of surface contact with corresponding laterally opposite zones of the nose. Each of the nose support elements is mounted on a respective support connected to the mount by a respective screw type element of a conductive material capable of electrical contact with the support, and each screw type element is capable of electrical contact with an electric circuit in the frame, the circuit being interposed between the frame and the mount.

Pair of spectacles with bio-sensors

Spectacles including auricular devices are described. The spectacles include a structure having a front frame for supporting respective lenses, and a pair of arms articulated to the front frame on laterally opposite sides, each of the arms extending longitudinally between a first end that is articulated to the front frame and a second, opposite end, close to which an end arm portion can make contact with the head at the ear. Each arm extends from the second end into an arm portion that is made of flexible material and bears an element for supporting an auricular device, and the arm portion can move, on account of its flexibility, between an operating position in which the support element is worn at the ear to allow the auricular device to be positioned, and a non-operating position in which the support element is removably held on the end arm portion.

Spectacles comprising auricular devices

Spectacles are provided with sensors for detecting biometric data when worn and when in contact with the head of the user. The spectacles include a frame having a front mount for supporting respective lenses, a nose support device and a pair of arms articulated on the front mount on laterally opposite sides, each of the arms extending longitudinally between a first end and a second, opposite end, close to which an end portion of the arm can make contact with the head at the ear. Each arm extends from the second end to a section of the arm made of flexible material that can support an auricular sensor, and the section of the arm can move, on account of its flexibility, between an operative position and a non-operative position, in which the sensor supported by the section of the arm is removably retained on the end portion of the arm.

Spectacles with bio-sensors

There is described a protective helmet for sporting use, in particular for use while skiing, comprising an external cap-like structure () of a resiliently flexible material, an internal cap-like structure () which is received in the external cap-like structure () and which comprises a plurality of cap portions () of expanded material which are structurally independent of each other and which are mutually interconnected with limited relative mobility between contiguous portions, the internal cap-like structure () delimiting a cavity () which is open towards the outer side and which is capable of receiving the head of the user, and at least one device () for absorbing energy as a result of forces of impacts on the helmet, which device is interposed between the internal cap-like structure () and external cap-like structure (). The device comprises at least one flexible member () which includes a plate-like portion () having a transverse thickness () which is defined between a pair of opposing surfaces () and a plurality of reliefs () which project in the same direction from one of the surfaces (), the reliefs () extending with a tapering formation in the direction of the free end () thereof, in the direction away from the portion (), and the at least one member () being fixedly joined to the external cap-like structure () in the region of the respective free ends () of the reliefs () and the internal cap-like structure () in the region of the surface () of the opposite portion () to the portion which has the reliefs.

Protective helmet for sporting use, in particular for use while skiing

A method is described for making frame components for spectacles, including: superimposing within a first mold, in the following order, at least a first film of plastic material, at least one semi-finished element pre-impregnated with resin, and at least a second film of plastic material; closing and heating the first mold, the temperature and pressure being applied and maintained until the resin is fully polymerized, in order to produce an intermediate component containing the semi-finished product); opening the first mold and extracting the intermediate component from the first mold. The method also includes: placing the intermediate component in a second mold; closing the second mold and forming a layer of polymer material on the intermediate component, resulting in mutual adhesion; opening the second mold and extracting an article produced by the molding step in the second mold and cutting the article to define the final profile of the component.

Method of making frame components for spectacles and a component made by this method

What is described is a method of manufacturing a lens () for spectacles, comprising the steps of providing a lens blank () made from plastic material, obtaining, by cutting the blank (), a corresponding lens having a final shape and profile suitable for mounting in a mounting frame, removing material from the lens () in predetermined areas of the lens to produce a first lens portion (), inserting the first lens portion () into a mould () for overmoulding, injecting material into the mould () to produce at least a second lens portion () overmoulded on the first lens portion (), and removing the lens (), in which the first and second lens portions () are integrated with one another, from the mould ().
