A circuit arrangement includes a first light emitting diode and a second light emitting diode emitting light of different colors arranged adjacent to each other for additive color mixing. A first and second controllable current sources are connected to the first and second light emitting diode, respectively, such that the load currents of the light emitting diodes depend on respective control signals received by the current sources. First and second sigma-delta modulators are connected to the first and second light emitting diodes, respectively, and provide bit-streams as control signals to the current sources. The mean value of each bit-stream corresponds to the value of an input signal of the respective sigma-delta modulator.

Sigma delta current source and LED driver

A power switch circuit for driving an airbag squib module has a power transistor, a pre-charge capacitance for storing a charge, a charging circuit and a controllable energy-coupling element. The power transistor has a first electrode, a second electrode and a control electrode. A path between the first electrode and the second electrode is connected in series with the airbag squib module between a supply potential and a reference potential. The charging circuit charges the pre-charge capacitance and the charging circuit is therefore coupled with the pre-charged capacitance. The controllable energy coupling element is connected between a first electrode of the pre-charge capacitance and the control electrode of the power transistor. The power switch exhibits a high degree of stability, allows a fast switching of the power transistor and further has an advantageous transient response.

Disclosed is a method of determining a resonance frequency interval containing the resonance frequency of a rechargeable battery. The method comprises applying periodic current or voltage signals of different frequencies in succession to a battery cell of the battery. The method also comprises measuring of the temperatures of the battery cell occurring for the different frequencies. In addition, the method comprises comparing of the temperatures, and subsequent selection of an initial frequency of the different frequencies as a first interval value of the resonance frequency interval and a second frequency of the different frequencies as a second interval value of the resonance frequency interval based on the comparison of the temperatures.

A device for regulating the current intensity of an electric current to be supplied to a load and generated by a current/voltage source is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device includes a semiconductor body, a first electrode, which is connected electrically to the front side of the semiconductor body and can be connected electrically to the current/voltage source, a second electrode, which is connected electrically to the rear side of the semiconductor body and can be connected electrically to the load, a vertical transistor formed in the semiconductor body, by means of which electric current flows between the first and second electrode can be generated/controlled, and a control circuit, which drives the transistor in such a way that the intensities of the current flows between the first and second electrode are regulated to specific values.

An actuation circuit for a switch element regulating the power consumption of an inductive energy storage element in a switching converter, used to convert an input voltage into an output voltage, is described. The circuit includes a pulse width modulator circuit configured so as to provide a pulse-width-modulated actuating signal for the switch element depending on a regulating signal dependent on the output voltage and a current measurement signal dependent on a current across the inductive storage element. The circuit further includes an arrangement that provides the current measurement signal, wherein the arrangement for providing the current measurement signal is a measuring and regulating arrangement, configured so as to simulate the current measurement signal from a signal dependent on the output voltage, a signal dependent on the difference between the input voltage and the output voltage, and at least a first sampled value of a signal proportional to the current across the inductive storage element during a period of the pulse-width-modulated actuating signal.

Actuation circuit for a switch regulating the power consumption in a switching converter

The invention relates to a voltage regulator having an output terminal (AK) for the provision of an output voltage and connection of a load, an output capacitor () connected to the output terminal and having an equivalent series resistance (ESR), a converter unit () having supply voltage terminals for the application of a supply voltage (Vcc), an output coupled to the output terminal (AK), a feedback signal input for feeding in a feedback signal (Vfb) dependent on the output voltage, a reference signal input for feeding in a reference signal (Vref), and a comparator unit (TA), which provides a differential signal (Iea) from the reference signal (Vref) and the feedback signal (Vfb), in which case the converter unit () provides an output current (Iout), the mean value of which is proportional to the differential signal (Iea), the proportionality factor between this difference and the output current (Iout) being set by means of a control signal at a control input of the converter unit () in such a way that it is proportional to the reciprocal of the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the output capacitor.

Voltage regulator with adjustable output impedance

A regulating system comprises an input terminal for applying an input voltage, and an output terminal for providing an output voltage. A semiconductor element is connected between the input terminal and the output terminal and is operable to regulate the output voltage. A regulating signal generation circuit generates the regulating signal and comprises a current mirror arrangement including a first and second current mirror path, wherein a controlled current source is connected in series to the first current mirror path. The controlled current source induces a first current dependent on one of the output signals in the first current mirror path. A second current through the second current mirror path is dependent on the first current. A splitter circuit conducts the second current to the output terminal or to a reference potential, dependent on a load path voltage applied over the load path of the semiconductor element.
