A bearing unit includes rolling bodies between radially inner and outer rings and a seal element extending between the rings, the seal element including a metallic shield and an elastomeric coating overmolded on the shield. The coating includes an anchor body mounted in a seat of the outer ring, and the anchor body includes a first anchor lip on an axially inner side of the anchor body contacting the seat of the radially outer ring and a second anchor lip located on an axially outer side of the anchor body contacting and forming a seal at a location on the radially outer ring. A concave radially outwardly facing connecting surface extends from the first anchor lip to the second anchor lip and is configured to reduce a compression of the anchor body when the anchor body is inserted into the seat.

A sealing assembly for bearings, in particular for use in agriculture, comprising a primary sealing barrier and a secondary sealing barrier, which are arranged in series along a potential path (P) of ingress of contaminants into the bearing, and have, respectively, a first seal and a second seal with a plurality of contact lips. The contact lips of the first and second seal with a plurality of contact lips may be static lips that do not rotate about an axis (A) of rotation of the bearing.

The contact lips may lie, when in a respective pre-assembly configuration, in respective planes (P) inclined with respect to a central axis (A) of the bearing, and may have radial lengths decreasing axially towards the bearing.

A sealing device for a bearing unit that includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of rolling bodies interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, the sealing device having a radially outer anchoring portion, an intermediate portion, and a radially inner sealing portion distal to the radially outer anchoring portion, the sealing device being made of a single polymer plastic material.
