The present invention relates to a drip control device for a boom microphone for installation around the boom at a distance from the microphone. To improve the dripping off beads of perspiration, the drip control device as measured in the direction of the boom, has a length (L) and as measured in the direction perpendicular to the boom, a length (D) and that with respect to ratio of these dimensions, such a ratio L/D is greater than 1.

Drip control device for a boom microphone

A microphone filter system for outputting an audio signal independent of electrical impedance of downstream devices. This system may include a filter section and an audio transformer that facilitate the outputting of the audio signal.

Microphone filter system

An electrostatic microphone has a capsule housing and a diaphragm, a rigid electrode, and an electrical circuit on a printed circuit board arranged in the capsule housing. The diaphragm is connected to a ring shoulder provided on the front side of the capsule housing. Preferably, the capsule housing is divided into a housing bottom and a capsule lid, and the ring shoulder is provided on the capsule lid.

Electrostatic microphone

An electroacoustic capsule or electroacoustic transducer for an electroacoustic device has electrostrictive or magnetostrictive elements connected to a controllable power supply. Dimensional changes of the electrostrictive or magnetostrictive elements cause changes of the inner geometry of the electroacoustic capsule or electroacoustic transducer. This allows the adjustment of the capsule or transducer to the electroacoustic device in which it is mounted so that individual and dynamic adjustments are possible.

Electroacoustic microphone

A microphone capsule support in which the microphone capsule is mounted elastically in a microphone housing using two annular diaphragms. The capsule is connected through the annular diaphragms to a bearing bushing and a cover is connected to the bearing bushing at least in an essentially air-tight manner, such that a closed volume is formed by the lower annular diaphragm, the cover and the capsule. A small opening is provided for connecting the closed volume to the atmosphere. The bearing bushing and/or the cover are connected to the microphone housing.

Microphone capsule support

An electrostatically operating electroacoustic transducer, operating as a sound receiver and configured to be mounted in a microphone capsule, has an electrode and a diaphragm connected to one another at a spacing from one another by a spacer ring, wherein on the electrode at least one first electric resistor is arranged which is connected to a power supply during operation of the microphone. The resistor is heated to prevent condensation of water vapor, and this improves the resistance of the microphone against ambient humidity.

Electroacoustic transducer

A pop shield for a microphone, the microphone having a housing and an electroacoustic transducer arranged in the housing and having a main voice input direction in an axial direction of the housing, is in the form of a cover of a first open-pore foam. The cover and the housing together enclose the electroacoustic transducer. The cover has, at least in the main voice input direction, two foam layers spaced apart from one another and defining a space therebetween.

Pop shield for microphone

An electroacoustic transducer operating in accordance with the electrodynamic principle include a diaphragm which has in the region of the coil an annular protrusion which is integrally connected to the diaphragm, wherein the coil is attached, preferably glued, to the annular protrusion at a desired distance from the diaphragm. The attachment can be end face against end face. The diaphragm may in the area of the coil have an annular reinforcing corrugation which is attached to the coil in an appropriate manner, preferably by gluing.

A method of manufacturing a diaphragm for an electroacoustic transducer which operates in accordance with the electrodynamic principle and has portions with different thicknesses made from a thermoplastically deformable material having a constant thickness, wherein, in a first work step, that portion of the diaphragm material which is to have the greater thickness in the finished diaphragm, is held by an inner positioning device, while the remaining area of the diaphragm is additionally held by an outer positioning device, and the remaining area of the diaphragm is pulled or stretched with the influence of tension and heat to reduce the thickness thereof. In a second workstep, the entire diaphragm is thermoplastically stamped in a mold.
