A processing system including at least one processor may gather first imaging data associated with an infrastructure item via at least a first imaging device, where the first imaging data represents a first condition of the infrastructure item, and gather second imaging data associated with the infrastructure item via at least a second imaging device, where at least one of the at least the first imaging device or the at least the second imaging device is mounted on a vehicle, and where the infrastructure item is visible from a road on which the vehicle operates. The processing system may then determine a second condition of the infrastructure item in accordance with the second imaging data, where the second condition comprises a potentially unsafe condition of the infrastructure item, and generate a report of the potentially unsafe condition of the infrastructure item in response to the determining.

A processing system including at least one processor may detect at least one dark zone in a vicinity of a user, determine at least one lighting feature for an illumination of the at least one dark zone in accordance with a user profile of the user, identify at least one light source to provide the illumination of the at least one dark area in accordance with the at least one lighting feature that is determined, and transmit an instruction to the at least one light source to provide the illumination of the at least one dark zone in accordance with the at least one lighting feature that is determined.

A processing system including at least one processor may obtain a parking request for a vehicle to park at a parking facility and may offer a plurality of parking spots of the parking facility for the vehicle, where at least one of the plurality of parking spots that is offered is a parking spot that is predicted to be available, and where the offering includes presenting information regarding predicted adjacent parking spot occupancy of the at least one of the plurality of parking spots for a duration of an intended stay of the vehicle at the parking facility. The processing system may then obtain a selection of a parking spot from among the plurality of parking spots and reserve the parking spot for the vehicle.

Predictive vehicle parking systems

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a processing system that analyses, without user intervention, content of a first message directed from equipment of a sending user to equipment of a receiving user, to identify a task. The processing system determines that the receiving user is unable to perform the task according to biometric data of the receiving user. The biometric data is selected from one of heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and combinations thereof. According to the content of the first message and the biometric data obtained from the receiving user, the processing system determines that the task should be delegated to another user, and responsive thereto, provides a second message associated with the task to equipment of the other user. Method and apparatus for managing communication inquiries

Determining a level of congruence between modality-event characteristics is disclosed. Information can be collected from an event input source via one or more information collection modalities. Modality-event characteristics can be determined from this information. A level of congruence between the modality-event characteristics can be determined to enable initiating a response based on the level of congruence. The level of congruence can be based on satisfying a rule related to congruence between modality-event characteristics, user profile information, etc. The level of congruence can be related to a probability that the several inputs collected for an event, collected by a plurality of modalities, embody characteristics that are associated with the event occurring according to determined notions embodied in the rule and profile. Determining the level of congruence can support assertions that each input, across differing modes of capturing said input, accords with the expected inputs for an event.

Event characteristic analysis for event input discrimination

Providing and using a digital asset delivery service can include obtaining a digital asset delivery request that identifies a digital asset that is to be provided to a recipient device, the recipient device, and delivery requirements associated with providing the digital asset to the recipient device. A data source and a network resource via which the data source is to provide the digital asset to the recipient device can be determined, where the data source and the network resource are capable of satisfying the delivery requirements. A ledger that includes instructions for constructing the digital asset at the recipient device can be provided to the recipient device. Delivery of the digital asset to the recipient device by the data source can be triggered, and delivery of the digital asset to the recipient device by the data source can be tracked using a token.

Providing and using a digital asset delivery service

A processing system may obtain first content including human language via a computing network. The processing system may next identify an assertion in the first content and identify one or more content sources containing second content relating to the assertion. The processing system may then determine whether the second content relating to the assertion corroborates or contradicts the assertion, and may present the first content with an indication of whether the second content corroborates or contradicts the assertion.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, initializing a secure timer in a wireless device, determining whether a subscriber identification module (SIM) card installed in the wireless device comprises a carrier identity that matches a carrier identity stored in the machine-readable medium, establishing a network connection with a trusted server, starting the secure timer if the SIM card and network connection are satisfactory, periodically checking the network connection and SIM card until expiry of the secure timer, penalizing the secure timer responsive to a failure of the network connection or SIM card check, and responsive to expiry of the secure timer, unlocking a SIM lock. A device for providing a communication service is provided. The device receives an address for establishing a communication session. Environmental data from an environment of the device is collected. The device determines whether the address corresponds to a communication recipient for which the environmental data is to be sent to supplement the communication session. A request for the communication session is placed based on the address, and the communication session is established upon answer of the request. The environmental data is sent over the wireless network and to the communication recipient after establishing the communication session with the communication recipient and determining that the address corresponds to the communication recipient for which the environmental data is to be sent to supplement the communication service.
