Techniques are described herein for authenticating a plurality of components of a user equipment to enable one or more functionalities of the components. The techniques include receiving a component identifier corresponding to a hardware component of the user equipment; verifying that the component identifier matches a network record in a data store, the network record corresponding to the hardware component; enabling one or more functionalities of the user equipment, based at least in part on verifying the component identifier with the network record; and activating the hardware component for use on the user equipment via a communications network.

Holistic module authentication with a device

Techniques are described herein for presenting signal strength indicators on a display screen of a user equipment based on various telecommunications signals and one or more types of user experience corresponding to network performance metrics in a target geolocation of a network. The signal strength indicia can include one or more sets of signal bars. The user equipment can be equipped to measure the signal strength received. Additionally, the user equipment can analyze network performance metrics such as packet latency, throughput, packet loss, and availability based on user experience. One or more user experience types can be selected in order to compute a value that is representative of the received signal strength and the user experience data. Signal strength indicators are displayed on the display screen of the user equipment based on the measured signal strength and user experience for different forms of communication such as voice, video, and data.

Enhanced signal strength indicator

Techniques are described herein for optimizing band scanning for one or more bands supported by a mobile device for connection to a wireless network. The techniques include determining geolocation coordinates corresponding to a real-time location of a mobile device. The mobile device may identify at least one available radio frequency (RF) band supported by the mobile device based at least on the geolocation coordinates. In some aspects, the mobile device may determine whether a signal quality of the available RF band is above a predetermined threshold. If the signal quality of the available RF band is above the predetermined threshold, the mobile device may selectively prioritize a scan for support by a wireless network of the available RF band and connect to the wireless network using the available RF band.

Enhanced radio frequency band scanning

Techniques are described herein for remotely managing profiles corresponding to various mobile network operators offering telecommunication services to target user equipment based on one or more policies. The techniques include loading at least one profile on an embedded UICC (eUICC) of a user equipment, the one of profiles including a prioritized profile. The techniques also include receiving a request that includes an embedded UICC identifier (EID) and an integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) corresponding to the eUICC of the user equipment, wherein the request is for locking one or more functionalities of the user equipment. One or more policies are retrieved for locking the one or more functionalities from a policy database. Based at least on the one or more policies, locking instructions are sent to the user equipment. The instructions include instructions to enable the prioritized profile.

Remote operational management of E-SIM

Techniques are described herein for remotely managing profiles corresponding to various mobile network operators offering telecommunication services to target user equipment based on one or more policies. An entitlement server of a mobile network operator can receive from target user equipment, a request for replacing a prioritized profile as set by the mobile network operator. The entitlement server can determine whether a user account corresponding to a device identifier for the target user equipment meets the eligibility criteria for loading a new profile onto the target user equipment. In the event of additions or replacements of profiles, the entitlement server can cause transmission of instructions to the user equipment to delete the prioritized profile and apply a new profile.
